RE: Understanding Splinterlands Fortune Draw Entries

Imagine what it is like for new players just starting the "game". I'm not sure it can be described as a game any more. People in the US are potentially going to get caught up in the unregulated investments legislation where every member of the community is counted as part of a partnership with unlimited liability. Biiiiigggg risk.

I think that is a bit of a stretch...

The US legislation is certainly causing other DAOs to panic. The stake to "win" means that the language can be both construed as unregulated lottery or unregulated investments or both. The classification of DAOs as a partnership (rather than a digital form of credit union) with each member subject to unlimited liability is really worrysome. This "stretch", as you put it, needs a decent amount of research and consideration before it bites people in the ass and unignorable.

The fact that Splinterlands is pitched as a game yet looks less like one as soon as you start playing certainly rings alarm bells for me.
