My journey with Splinterlands starts in August, 2021. I created my account and bought the Spellbook in July and started buying cards in august to play the game. I bought some cards after being entertained a lot through learning the abilities, game rules and so on. Luckily that time I was searching a suitable guild and I have found a guild title "The PlagueBringers", led by brother @cornavirus and I started my full journey with a lot of support from the guild members.

Before the current reward sets, I have invested some little amount of money in buying quest potion to have some more reward cards. But now, buying quest potions is a unprofitable as the cards' prices have crushed a lot. In this post, I want to sum up my mistakes or lack of knowledge that I think I should share with you, especially for the new players.
Let's RECAP my investments, Actually I have invested gradually in buying cards. As I never calculated thoroughly my total investment, but I had my total crypto assets when market started crashing after the parabolic movement. In sum, I have invested 1500 bucks in buying cards from last year. Now lets check my net assets in Hive chain, as all the assets in Hive chain is based on my Splinterlands game.
My net assets is now $1535 which is slightly more than my initial investment. I think it is a great achievement for being in positive side as the card market and the other assets have dumped significantly.
According to my experience I can suggest these following strategies in investing in Splinterlands.
- Never invest all of your money at once, it will be more profitable if you buy your cards in different market conditions, then average buying rate will be lower in some cases. For me If I bought all the cards initially, then my current state would be more decreased lot more. As an example, I bought a single Djinn Oshannus for $40 that time!

- Never open single packs, try to open more packs at once to increase the possibility of more gold foils or legendaries.
- Make sure to use potions before opening packs to increase the possibility of getting gold foil cards or legendaries cards.
OTHER OPPORTUNITIES IN SPLINTERLANDS COMMUNITY
First of all, I didn’t know about the amazing Splinterlands community in hive blockchain. I didn’t notice about logging in to my hive.blog account, as I bought the Spellbook directly through my Metamask wallet.
I didn’t know about learning the best strategies to do well in the battle. I never joined any tournaments, even now I Couldn't as I used to busy with my studies.
Even I didn’t know about Splinterlands support for sharing the player experiences, battles, arts through Hive blockchain. You will be astonished hearing this that I am writing and trying to get some extra rewards for last two weeks! Though I am late here but I ma getting some extra rewards with which I can buy some more cards to build my deck more stronger.
I have learned little by little and now when I get free time I start sharing my experience throughout the weeks and make it a complete post when I get the opportunity to get rewarded by the Splinterlands.

My card collections
Basically, I play with the Chaos Legion cards now as a late comer, other cards are very expensive. Though I have bought many non-CL cards for the games future perspective as I mentioned in my last post. I have bought the necessary non-CL cards which I use frequently.
Currently, I am in SILVER LEAGUE I without any renting cards. My summoners are with level 2 but the EARTH summoner is at level 4 and DETH summoner at 3 with a EPIC DRAGON summoner with level 4.
For monster, I am still trying to max out my monsters according to my league level. My target is to enter gold league III very soon. My strategy is to buy cards not to buy packs as I can't afford the cards pack price and the potential risk of pulling very bad cards. I also buy and sell cards in peakmonsters when I see some opportunity in my queries for cards.

I am very happy to enjoy the fun in the game with a lot excitements and further additional things are on the way with the LAND EXPANSIONS, NEW CARDS, NEW SPELLS and ITEMS whih which will make the game more interesting. So, I am very bullish on SPS and I am looking for 2025 not with the current situation or next year.
- The future integration with lands, spells, items and new cards will bring more fun in the game.
- The SPS rewards with the normal battle and guild brawl will bring more rewards which will be more profitable.
- When the card price will increase with more players.
- the decentralization of the game will make it more stable from every aspects.
In conclusion, still I am at the positive side with my Splinterlands assets in this crashed market. And I am getting the SPS airdrop of 8 SPS per day, getting daily quest everyday, the seasonal rewards, getting rewarded for weekly challenges. So my assets will increase in a stable way. And I am satisfied with game and its developments and future roadmap.

Even after the huge dump of card prices, your total assets are more than 1500$ and I believe the dump position will be changed into a positive part soon and you'll be benefitted a lot in that case.

Yeah, I strongly believe about the the crashing maket will change in fiture as people needs so many cards to level up. I have invested half of my money before the dumped market, and got two gold foil summoners which has helped me to recover my funds. And still I am getting around 8 SPS everyday, my final SPS will be around 3000 and I hope I will get my money back from the SPS only at the price of $0.5 which is pretty possible when listed in Binance or the starting of node or end o SPS airdrop.
The choice of the name of the guild is a little annoying for a person who is unfamiliar with the game) Do not tell anyone on the street about this), you may be quarantined.
