I'm so happy and I feel lucky to have found the Hive Blockchain two months ago. At about that time, I was frantically trying to find extra work to pick up the money necessary for college. If it wasn't for grants and relief packages, I probably would have ended up skipping a semester or even a year to focus on earning enough to cover the tuition.
Today's economy is a bit odd, here in the United States we are going through a huge employment recession; or rather everywhere you look places are hiring and, despite this, the unemployment rate continues to stay high. This is partly because many employers are not willing to raise their employees wages, which makes since because many small businesses would not make a profit if they did. However on the larger scale, a huge reason for the labor shortage is due to job requirements and skilled labor. Most people who want to work cannot get jobs right now because many businesses are looking for quality labor respective to their fields that they will likely not receive for a while yet.
Sorry about all of that explaining, I guess I got carried away lol. Either way, work has been difficult to find recently, and while I'm still looking, Splinterlands and the Hive Blockchain are helping me out massively. It's crazy to me how I've found this random game two months ago by chance while looking for opportunities to make money, and I was introduced to the entire Hive community where I've felt welcomed and comfortable with! I ended up getting hooked on the game, started blogging and reading others' content, and even inspired me to take a deeper dive into crypto as a whole. I've been invested in and aware of crypto for quite a while now, but after coming across the Hive blockchain I have learned so much about blockchain technology, DeFi, etc.
Ever since I started blogging about Splinterlands just over a month ago, I have earned enough SPT and Hive to net about $130. That is absolutely crazy to me! This community is giving me the chance to finish my college education and progress in life, and I couldn't be happier! Thank you so much, this is truly life-changing!!
