Considering Religion....

in Fuckit5 years ago

If you know anything about me, ok a little more than that then you know I would not.

You will be right in then assuming that this is not about religion but what would it then be about?

Well, it is the closest thing to full fucktard right on the heels of religion. Positive thinking.

There I was minding my own business walking my smoke circle when my mind started acting a little bit pissy. I asked it what is your problem?

"You know, why don't you really let me think things will be ok?"

"What do you mean? I am always considering how things will be. Like if there is finally a war in South Africa then maybe we will get to kill lots of rubbish people."

"Yes, but you know what I mean. More everyday things, general happiness and stuff."

"You mean like about work, everyday interactions?"

"Yes. You never let me think that work will be nice. Whenever you see anyone you immediately let me think that they are bad people. Like that old lady earlier, you convinced me she woke up with the purpose of irritating you today. Every moment, every thought you make me think is like being at war."

"Shape up or ship out."

That is out it goes, my brain was not lying. Although it should shut its stupid hole sometimes because I don't have any use for a naive happy-clappy shit brain.

Positive thinking.

How much do you want to punch me in the face now? If you think positively then maybe I will get stabbed by a random stranger.

Although, I don't think that is what is meant with positive thinking. It is how I use it and my brain can go suck a dick if it thinks that is a problem.

I did give it some real thought, and I smiled while doing it. A grimace to be accurate.

Taking a long drag from my cancer stick I paused for a sec and thought:

"You know what? If I just did my work and consider that I am getting paid and honestly the jobs don't take that long before the customer is on their way then it really ain't all that bad."

The facts would be:

  • I get paid to do my job
  • I don't get paid to enjoy my job

Ok so how about just thinking positive and that will make me feel better. It is a mindfulness thing after all. Think happy thoughts and be happy.

No. No. No.

Things are shit and they will always be shit. Positive thinking the way that stupid thought would like me to think is a pointless endeavour.

It is rejecting how I really feel and it rejects the reality of things. That these people that come bother me at work are shit, that the work itself if tedious, that any interests I have are shit and that the world has billions of people walking around that should be dead because they are vile, illogical scum.

For the most part, I do practise positive thinking and I feel better for it. I believe I will get through every horrid day. I will have a moment to go contribute to my cancer before the next dumb cunt walks into the shop. I will finish their work so they can fuck out of my life.

I am positive that the longer I live the less I will see the need to interact with others. I am positive that my existence is pointless and I am positive that tomorrow will be just as shit as the day before.

I know that even if I were to become rich and be fortunate enough to have an amazing life in isolation that humanity does not need positivity. Humanity needs a beating, with a leather belt but I am positive that this will not happen because everyone out there is so happy and positive that things will go their way.

All I hoard: Hive | Whaleshares | Uptrennd | Steem

Sort:

Do a lot of people down there use the word rubbish? That is kind of funny of a word, oh the rubbish people lol. By the way, I'm a needy greedy baby. By the way, I'm also on Uptrennd and you may notice even more spam comments there at an even greater level possibly. Spam is like art or the lack thereof or I mean beauty and spam is in the eye of the beholder.

Context

Some people can try to think positively outside of context and that can be counterproductive. Yeah, no pain no gain.

I use Rubbish, I think a lot of South Africans do also it is kinda a word that Afrikaans has adopted from English. It is a nice word to use for people because there is no doubt what you mean and describes them either in appearance or as a person. Versatile.

That is the correct word you need to consider when getting flack for "spam" - context. I know you comment as you think, like you just read something but wanna say something so say "Hi" , in text that reads bland and urrrgh but I think when you typed it then there is a lot more and it is a greeting. Does that make sense? Now imagine others come they read it and they see similar and more often, text does not show a smile or a wave it just says "Hi." Now you have money involved and maybe these are new users so they all give you a little, neglible right, on hive at least since less than 2cents is dust but take it on uptrennd there every vote matters. So I would say "Hi" with the consideration that you are on a monetary platform is good for people you know. They know what is behind the "spam" but alas again I am yammering on about things that don't matter. As I said if it does not affect me then it is not my concern, I guess it does not mean I don't have thoughts on it.

When I debate I say a lot and I can write for hours. But a long comment can scare new people away and it can be tough to respond to a very short introduction. Some people introduce themselves on Hive, Steem, etc, with just a picture. I have been saying hello to new people on Steemit and Hive since 2017 meaning I have said hello to thousands of people, generally 20 or more people each day times maybe 900 days or more. I run into identical people sometimes. When you see as many people as I have in my life both online and offline, you start see patterns. The lesson I learn from this is to censor myself. That is what the bots are training me to do. I am scared to death, I am going to have a heart attack. I have to look out the window and make sure the thought police won't catch me for accidentally repeating too much. And you can accidentally write what other people wrote and not know it. Of course it is not absolutely common or easy to do but when some people write or speak, they are accused of plagiarism and are in fact not stealing the words of others even as they say exactly what those other people said. It is possible to actually come up with the same phrases, the same paragraphs, the same words, the same sentences, and perhaps too many people purposely copy and paste and therefore are in fact plagiarizing and yet that gives the authentic people a bad name like the boy that cries wolf and the wolf being original thought. See, I could have an original idea or thought and it may have risen from the creativity of my heart, like a generic love song, and yet other people may have the rights to the song that I invented and made up in my head. So, then the thought police could take me to jail or make me pay money because I was selling my song and forgot to Google the lyrics to make sure others didn't write what came out of my head but before me. And that is a tragedy to go after people because they accidentally said things that some people might not like or things that other people might have said already or whatever the case might be.

That all makes perfect sense I get it. I think though that you are not accounting for why they warned you. I think they did it specifically for the "Hi" messages and maybe sure it was for variations or repeated words but in that case make it clear what you are doing at the very least? If they allow bots like you mention on your other comment then you should be fine adding "welcome to hive" and since they do not seem to prosecute the bots then why should they treat you differently. The difference is the bots try to appear helpful?

Regardless I understand what you are saying in the broadscope but I think you need to just focus on the specifics which is hivewatchers, the platform and the rules being enforced.

In 2020, these past months, I have said hi around twenty times or just a few times a few different days this year. I reduced how often I wrote repeated comments in 2019 to escape bot detection. I sort of did this hi rampage recently in 2020, the past several weeks or so, to see if Hive had any bots yet like Steem did and I guess we do have @hivewatchers which might be a Hive version of Steem Cleaners or Cheetah or some of the others. I try to appear helpful too but good idea, pretend to be a welcome bot, I may try that and have done that at times. I vary in the different things I might say to people. Well, I'm not totally sure what triggered Hive Watchers to detect my messages, I don't totally know if it detects identical comments that are consecutive, that is duplicates, copies, one after the next, the same, or if this particular bot actually compares what you write with everything you have ever written in your life to look for patterns and go after you if you said thanks.

Saying Thanks

I sometimes reply with saying thanks. Just thanks. Well, I believe that some bots are not programmed to look at comment replies and the replies to the replies, and so on and so forth as it is nested in a thread like a forum. So, it might be that some of the bots are only looking at the comments that are replying directly to posts as opposed to scanning comments that are replying to other comments and comments of comments, etc.

Conclusion

I will probably be ok but I just wanted to let some people know the dangers of some bots, not all bots perhaps, but some bots can be dangerous sometimes.

Social distancing has its pros.
I actually struggled with it today. Or maybe just the lack of being outside. Maybe a change of scenery is needed!

You struggled with distancing or your baby wanted all the toys? :) A change of scenery is only advised if it can be in another country and permanent.

to be completely honest, i missed my mommy!

Lol I take a tiny sliver of joy that most people that I know can and will get their actions shit right back in their face so I let that slide it’s not easy because I’d love to hand out some knuckle naps sometimes but I leave it

I just try to focus on insulating myself as best as I can

I like that "insulating" I think that is what I do, surround myself with a wall disdain. Nice and cozy :)
