Hoy hablaremos de un tema que a simple vista podría parecer insignificante, pero que realmente es de extrema importancia en cuanto a la asepsia de cualquier práctica que se realice en el área de la salud, y si hablamos de la correcta colocación de los guantes estériles. El termino estéril significa libre de gérmenes, por ende, los guantes estériles previenen la propagación de las bacterias hacia las manos, que pueden ocasionar el desarrollo de enfermedades. Es de suma importancia que los utilicemos si vamos a tener contacto con sangre, heridas, líquidos corporales entre otros. De igual forma para mayor protección del paciente y nosotros mismos se deben utilizar guantes así el paciente se encuentre saludable.

Recuerda que para tu mayor protección y comodidad y la del paciente debes escoger los guantes correctos para ti, que sean de tu talla, de un material al que no seas alérgica …, elegir los guantes correctos te ayudara a optimizar tu rendimiento en cualquier proceso que debas utilizarlos, en la imagen a continuación observaremos como se deben colocar los guantes de manera correcta.
