Como se ha podido mencionar en el post anterior, no todos los dientes son iguales, es por ello que dentro de la anatomía de los mismos se clasifican debido a su forma, la función que estos cumplen dentro de la cavidad oral y la posición en la que se encuentre en el maxilar correspondiente.
En una persona con condiciones físicas normales se puede llegar a apreciar cuatro tipos de dientes.
Los dientes incisivos: son los dientes que se encuentran delante, son los encargados en recibir el alimento, erupcionan los alimentos, se puede observar que los dientes incisivos superiores son más grandes que los inferiores (algo así como los dientes de los conejos, pero no tan exagerado) y su función principal es la de cortar los alimentos debido a sus bordes afilados.
Los dientes caninos: también son conocidos por el nombre de colmillos, son cuatro dientes, dos arriba y dos abajo y se encuentran al lado de los incisivos, poseen una forma puntiaguda la cual le permite la función de desgarrar la comida.
Los dientes premolares: Son dientes que lograr facilitar la trituración, su forma es parecida a los dientes caninos, pero es un poco más redonda, estos dientes se encuentran entre los caninos y los molares.
Los dientes molares: pasan a ser los dientes más grandes dentro de nuestra cavidad oral, poseen 4 o 5 prominencias debido a que son los encargados de demoler por completo los alimentos, su extracción suele ser difícil debido a que pueden llegar a tener de dos a tres raíces por muela.

As it has been mentioned in the previous post, not all teeth are the same, which is why within their anatomy they are classified due to their shape, the function they fulfill within the oral cavity and the position in the one found in the corresponding maxilla.
In a person with normal physical conditions, four types of teeth can be seen.
Incisor teeth: they are the teeth that are in front, they are in charge of receiving food, food erupts, it can be seen that the upper incisor teeth are larger than the lower ones (something like the teeth of rabbits, but not so exaggerated) and its main function is to cut food due to its sharp edges.
The canine teeth: they are also known by the name of fangs, they are four teeth, two above and two below and are located next to the incisors, they have a pointed shape which allows the function of tearing food.
The premolar teeth: They are teeth that facilitate crushing, their shape is similar to canine teeth, but it is a little rounder, these teeth are found between the canines and the molars.
Molar teeth: they become the largest teeth in our oral cavity, they have 4 or 5 prominences because they are in charge of completely breaking down food, their extraction is usually difficult because they can have two three roots per tooth.
