DESDE MI TERRAZA, CASA ANTODA | FROM MY TERRACE, CASA ANTODA
Hecho en falta los cuentos... Hace una semanas estuve con unos amigos de Tenerife. Improvisamos con un equipo de música una fiesta nocturna en la playa, y a las pocas horas me encontraba contemplando el cielo lleno de estrellas sobre unas rocas en la orilla del mar.
I miss the stories... A few weeks ago I was with some friends from Tenerife. We improvised with a stereo a night party on the beach, and a few hours later I was contemplating the sky full of stars on some rocks on the seashore.
Arrullado por el sonido del agua y la música electroselvática, mezclado con la alegría de voces de personas que se unieron mas tarde a nosotros, y yo... disfrutando en mi tranquilidad de una sensación extraña que me calaba por momentos. Y es que al mirar el cielo, es como si no estuviera allí. Como si perteneciera a otra época donde se valoraba contemplar las estrellas y planetas brillantes. Donde se contaban historias de Dioses que gobernaban cielo, tierra y otros lugares inventados y batallaban con distintos poderes por el control de... no importa, ¡contaban historias!
Lulled by the sound of water and electro-soul music, mixed with the joy of the voices of people who later joined us, and me... enjoying in my tranquility of a strange sensation that was piercing me at times. Looking at the sky, it was as if I wasn't there. As if I belonged to another era where it was valued to contemplate the stars and bright planets. Where stories were told of Gods who ruled heaven, earth and other invented places and battled with different powers for control of..... never mind, they told stories!
Observo a mi alrededor los movimientos de sociedades, y pienso: ¿seguimos el camino equivocado? Enfocados en la comprensión del funcionamiento de la partícula mas pequeña, desenmarañando comportamientos para dar con el sentimiento o emoción mas nimio sin dejar espacio a la magia de ser tocados por la sensación... y es cuando añoro imaginar y fantasear... el dinero, la prisa, incluso ¡el espacio y el tiempo! Son invenciones del ser humano para satisfacer la necesidad narcisista de control... de pseudo poder.
I look around me at the movements of societies, and I think: are we on the wrong track? Focused on understanding the functioning of the smallest particle, unraveling behaviors to find the tiniest feeling or emotion without leaving room for the magic of being touched by sensation... and that's when I long to imagine and fantasize... money, haste, even space and time! They are inventions of the human being to satisfy the narcissistic need for control... of pseudo-power.
Cuando miro al cielo, solo veo las grandes invenciones que nos han llenado a lo largo y ancho del tiempo, de la ilusión en los ojos de un niño o no tan niño al escucharlas, de la ínfima sensación de soltar la realidad de este mundo y encontrarme en otro lugar, sin importan donde ni cuando... pero lleno de ilusión, de pasión... y seguramente todo esto tiene que ver con el amor. ¿Seguimos el camino que nos hace bien?
When I look at the sky, I only see the great inventions that have filled us throughout time, of the illusion in the eyes of a child or not so child when listening to them, of the tiny sensation of letting go of the reality of this world and finding myself in another place, no matter where or when... but full of illusion, of passion... and surely all this has to do with love. Are we following the path that is good for us?
