Darcy está muy emocionada: hoy es el día de su boda.
El día por el que pasó siete meses esperando, y finalmente ha llegado.
Todo está listo para que el día sea perfecto: Darcy está usando su vestido el cual le tomó dos meses poder elegir, mientras sus amigas contentas la ayudan con otros detalles como el velo.
–No te haces una idea de lo orgullosa que estoy de ti– le dice Vanessa, una de sus amigas.
–Yo lo que te tengo es envidia–le dice Marilyn, a lo que las demás se ríen.
–No seas así, Marilyn–la regaña Ester–, deberías estar contenta de que nuestra amiga haya encontrado al hombre de sus sueños.
–Lo sé, perdón Darcy.
–Descuida, Ster, hoy estoy demasiado feliz como para enojarme con alguien.
En eso alguien toca la puerta: es Ingrid, la madre de Darcy, con una enorme sonrisa de orgullo al ver a su hija con ese vestido.
–Las dejaremos solas–dice Vanessa, para luego salir de la habitación junto con las chicas.
–No sabes lo feliz que estoy por ti. Me alegra que hayas encontrado a alguien con quien compartir el resto de tus días.
–Gracias, mamá, de verdad lo aprecio–dice Darcy con lágrimas en los ojos.
–¿Te digo algo aquí entre nos? Entre tus hermanas siempre supe que tú serías la primera en casarse.
Darcy se ríe un poco–Pues Dalila estuvo muy cerca de ganarme.
–Bueno, te dejo para que te sigas preparando, tu galán te está esperando.
Se dan un abrazo y luego la madre de Darcy sale de la habitación.
…
–No puedo creer que esto de verdad está pasando–dice Darcy emocionada.
Comienza a caminar lentamente, mientras su sonrisa refleja lo feliz que se siente en estos momentos. Un sueño se esta cumpliendo.

Darcy is very excited: today is her wedding day.
The day she spent seven months waiting for, and it's finally here.
Everything is ready for the day to be perfect: Darcy is wearing her dress that took her two months to choose, while her friends happily help her with other details such as the veil.
-You have no idea how proud I am of you," says Vanessa, one of her friends.
-I'm envious of you," says Marilyn, to which the others laugh.
-Don't be like that, Marilyn," Ester scolds her, "you should be happy that our friend has found the man of her dreams.
-I know, sorry Darcy.
-It's all right, Ster, I'm too happy today to be mad at anyone.
At that moment someone knocks on the door: it's Ingrid, Darcy's mother, with a huge smile of pride at seeing her daughter in that dress.
-We'll leave you alone," says Vanessa, and then leaves the room with the girls.
-You don't know how happy I am for you. I'm glad you found someone to share the rest of your days with.
-Thank you, Mom, I really appreciate it," Darcy says with tears in her eyes.
-Shall I tell you something between us? Among your sisters, I always knew you'd be the first to marry.
Darcy laughs a little, "Well, Delilah came very close to winning me.
-Well, I'll leave you to get ready, your beau is waiting for you.
They give each other a hug and then Darcy's mother leaves the room.

-I can't believe this is really happening," Darcy says excitedly.
She begins to walk slowly, her smile reflecting how happy she feels right now. A dream is coming true.
