What does it look like? I remember the before of facebook and it was quite similar, but willout cryptos.

Specially my space, it was bloggin with comments and that was it. Tumblr become the reshare world, and twitter was the web to post when you go to the bathroom and more meaningless things...

The time before facebook was weird. But it was not that much different, and the "Non facebook" were also similar... So what social network are you comparing this to?

What does it look like?

Honestly? A ghost town. An abandoned place.

So what social network are you comparing this to?

For example YouTube. Even the smallest YouTubers (or even the occasional video uploaders) are getting real human comments. And original, genuine comments. You can clearly see that the commenters are there for the content. This cannot be said about the Steem/Hive blockchain.

A ghost town... hard description on it. But i guess is valid.

I get your point, but maybe it will take more time, who knows?

The Hive blockchain need outside visibility and proper marketing. Not the one Steemit made for itself. Steemit advertised itself with the money earning opportunity. That attracted mostly the selfish and greedy people. We both know its results.

Mmm, how about selling a really connecting people? Maybe our catch is catarsis comunity? Deep, emotional, close and personal, unlike the selfie comunity and the reshare of memes...

That could be. Or content preserving without censorship.
This would bring people and value to this blockchain.
Especially from China because of all the censorship they get in that country. If any person from China see this post, then anything you post on this blockchain will be remain on this blockchain as long as the blockchain exists. Even if you edit your post/comment, the original will still be visible on the blockchain level, and it cannot be modified, nor deleted.
I think that this is a huge value and potential. The marketing should utilize it.

Remember that Free has a really bad connotation due to America's use and abuse from it, outside of the USA is a word meaning problems.

If you go to countries like Venezuela where a dictatorship is ruling (Where I am from) you are better off plotting on secrecy or moving with stealth than doing anything fool and post it online, censorship is real, and the USA abuse it a lot, try to say something racism and you will see what I meant XD

Hive has its kind of censorship and is a hardcore one, 0 to 100, if Hive watcher or one of the big guys see you doing something that is not "right" You are dead.

So there is no space for mistakes, no space to abuse the system, and they act like robots, and that makes it worse...

So I would not dare to say that hive is censorship-free, actually is quite self-censored, and have a really hard way to do it if I may add.

So I really don't know what is the selling point of Hive, but there is this small spark that I haven't found on any other platform so far, a great and beautiful spark...
