Here is another two little dwarfs I met during my last walk around Wroclaw (Poland). Just like many other ones I found this one right in the city center right in front of an engineers chamber.Kolejne krasnalki z mojej ostatniej wizyty we Wrocławiu. Tak jak większość z nich, te też znalazłam w samym centrum miasta przed Izbą inżynierów budownictwa.

They were designed by an artist Beata Zwolańska-Hołod and appeared in May 2017. They are both engineers and wear little vests. The big thing in her hands is supposed to be a project for a building that they look at.Zaprojektowane zostały przez artystkę Beatę Zwolańska-Hołod i pojawiły na miejscu w maju 2017. Oba krasnalki to inżynierowie jak widać. Mają odpowiednie kamizelki, pani krasnalowa trzyma projekt i oboje patrzą na budynek przed nimi.

I mentioned already that there is over 300 of those little dwarf figures hiding around the town. They all have a pretty cool story and all represent the place or a job. Busy little things. Maybe one day I will manage to shoot them all.Wspominałam już, że we Wrocławiu jest ich ponad 300. Wszystkie mają swoją historię i reprezentują miejsce lub jakiś zawód. Może kiedyś uda mi się je wszystkie obfotografować.

Cute little dwarfs 🥰
Is there some reason why there are so many in Wroclaw? Is it a part of a tradition or just for some reason typical for that city?

Before 90' Poland was under strong Communist Party regime.
In 80' we had anti-communist movement/organisation called The Orange Alternative. Ideology of the movement was "Socialist Surrealism" :D
On the walls in the city that time appeared graffiti of Dwarfs. On the streets had place several happenings dwarfs-related. In memory of this events, in 2001 was placed first monument "Papa Dwarf".
Later in 2005 Tomasz Moczek placed first 5 dwarfs. Since then they just appear (circa 80 per year :D) They are protected by sorts of companies and institutions

300 are a lot: how many have you found yet?

A huge hug 🤗 and some bit of !BEER 🍻

Ohhh I dunno... I probably saw 50 of them maybe more. But I didn't manage to photograph all those.

Well, 50 is a good number already! 👍
You could create a challenge to photograph and publish them all by next summer?
By doing so, you'll be combining the useful with the enjoyable!

🍻 !BEER and a huge hug! 🤗

Not gonna happen :p I live about 2500 km away and I don't have a chance to go look for them often.
But I am doing my best :)

Oh, wow: pretty far away... i didn't know! 👍

Byłoby cudownie gdybyś sfotografowała wszystkie krasnale Wrocławia :) Są po prostu superanckie :)

Chyba to dość trudnie. O ile pamiętam niektóre są w biletowanych miejscach.

Chciałabym.. Ale jawet jak uda mi się dojść do setki, to będzie super :)

hello dear friend @ewkaw good night
What a beautiful detail to decorate a city with these dwarves, here in my country we use dwarves to decorate the gardens.
I appreciate that you let us know these beautiful figures and all their history
I wish you a happy start to the week. Successes

Thank you! I am glad you enjoyed it :)

Nie wiem czy wszystkie są wprowadzone do openstreetmap, ale kiedyś były:

I didn't know they had so many! What a delightful story, especially when the dwarves broke free!

What a pleasant surprise to come upon them. Thanks for sharing!
