Another great news - @aliveprojects have become Special Sponsor for Season 6. @flaxz has donated 400 ALIVE tokens for special awards. He also delegated 5000 Alive to this account. The delegation will strengthen the voting power of the account and will allow to send out Alive tokens (by the means of tipping comments).

technically, the ALIVE pool is on @merthin's account who will transfer the prizes according to the following scheme:
Elimination Award (100 ALIVE) will be paid to the best player who didn't qualify to the main phase of the Season. Both Champions League and Consolation Cup eliminations will be taken into account and the Award will go to the player with the highest total score across both Rounds of qualifications.
Season Award (100 ALIVE) will go to the best player eliminated in the first phase of the Season (group phase for Champions League and Rounds of 16 and 8 for Consolation Cup). Since CL participants will have 6 matches and those in CC only four, I will calculate the average score.
Surprise Award (200 ALIVE) will go to the player who becomes the biggest surprise of the season. It will be the player who started from Round 1 of qualifications and reached the furthest stage. If several players achieve the same, total score will be taken into account.
Sum: 400 ALIVE
Regulation Prizes (from @merthin) - Season 6
My fundamental idea is that ALL participants are rewarded.
ie. participants of the main phases of both tournaments, therefore 32 players
Obviously the prizes for those eliminated early are significantly smaller than for the Winners. In Season 6 the following prizes will be sponsored by @merthin.
Champions League
- 4 Players who finish 4th in their groups: 0.5 HBD
- 4 Players who finish 3rd in their groups: 0 HBD
-- they are transferred to Consolation Cup and will get their prize there - 8 (ALL) quarter-finalists: 2 HBD
Sum: 4 * 0.5 + 8 * 2 = 18 HBD
Consolation Cup
- 8 players eliminated in Round of 16: 0.25 HBD
- 4 players eliminated in Round of 8: 0.5 HBD
- 8 (ALL) quarter-finalists: 1 HBD
Sum: 8 * 0.25 + 4 * 0.5 + 8 * 1 = 12 HBD
Important Note
Prizes from @merthin will be halved in Season 7 and will vanish entirely starting from Season 8. See explanation and reason below.
Regulation prizes (from @C/MAcFiT) - Season 6
Starting from Season 6, part of the prizes will be paid out from @C/MAcFiT community owner (@hive-135376) owner.
Champions League
Winner: 5% share in all @C/MAcFiT posts for Season 7 (starting with the qualifiers).
Runner-up: 3% share in all @C/MAcFiT posts for Season 7 (starting with the qualifiers).
Consolation Cup
Winner: 4% share in all @C/MAcFiT posts for Season 7 (starting with the qualifiers).
Runner-up: 2% share in all @C/MAcFiT posts for Season 7 (starting with the qualifiers).
Special Prize
The player with the highest AVERAGE score across all matches (applies only to players who have played at least 6 matches): 1% share in all @C/MAcFiT posts for Season 7 (starting with the qualifiers).
Sum: 5% + 3% + 4% + 2% + 1% = 15%
Future Seasons - community prize pool
Starting with Season 7 (the one after the next), regulation prizes paid in HBD will come from the community owner account (@hive-135376).
To be precise, 80% of HBD collected by the community owner (@hive-135376) DURING Season 6 will form the pool of prizes for Season 7. And then 80% of HBD collected in Season 7, will make the pool for Season 8 etc.
because the account is new, HBD from the current Season (5) will be added to the above mentioned pool. I will use Savings to increase the pool a bit.
Currently the account has 200 HP delegation from @merthin. With time it will accumulate HP in its own right.
Your Upvotes for @C/MAcFiT updates
I am asking you humbly but strongly that you upvote regularly the updates from the community owner (@hive-135376). Your upvotes will build the HP of the community and will form the future prize pool.
My upvotes for your @actifit reports
Starting with Season 6, the community owner (@hive-135376) will upvote ALL your @actifit reports on your Match Days. I will use the following scheme:
- Champions League group phase and Consolation Cup Rounds of 16 and of 8: 25% of HP available per vote
- Quarterfinals (both tournaments): 50% of HP available per vote
- Semi- and Finals (both tournaments): 100% of HP available per vote
This will help to build the community owner HP (from curation rewards) so that with each season the votes will carry more weight. And obviously it is a way of paying you back from the community HP.
These upvotes are unconditional - even if your report is only the @actifit skeleton, you will still get the upvote for each Match Day that you publish your report card.
Additional upvotes may come from @merthin. Simply said - I you put some effort into the report quality and I like the contents, I will upvote. I normally do 50% and sometimes 100%.
Tipping with ALIVE
As agreed with the admin of @aliveprojects , the delegated ALIVE can be used for tipping comments. Their bot will send 0.1 ALIVE to the author of the commented post.
I will use that for ALL your @actifit reports with at least 10 000 steps on relevant #MAcFIT Match Day (ie. the Match Day that you are playing on).
I can do only 20 tips per day. In the initial phase there will be days when all 32 players have their Match Days. On those days I will start tipping from Champions League (i.e all players with over 10k step count will get a tip) and then use the remaining tips for the best Consolation Cup players, starting with the highest step count (so some may not get the tip, unfortunately).
Beneficiaries - Season 6
The following will be beneficiaries of all posts from the @C/MAcFiT community owner for the duration of Season 6.
- @merthin - 4% (ADMIN)
- @actifit - 2% (MAIN SPONSOR)
- @aliveprojects - 2% (SPECIAL SPONSOR)
- @poliac - 1% (parallel @actifit -based tournament with 3 Leagues)

Rationale for the changes
You have noticed that I (i.e @merthin) have split the organization of #MAcFiT tournaments into a separate community account. Two reasons for that:
- My awards to the players are pretty generous but I have noticed that they are financed from my @travelfeed blogging activity. In the long run, I can't go like this. I want to have clarity between the two sides of my HIVE presence
- I want to build a strong #MAcFiT community and I need financial transparency for that
-- I will publish the status of the account (HP, HBD, Savings) after each season. You can always check it yourself, where are on the HIVE block chain after all
I hope your understand my motives and approve this move. And I do hope that you enjoy the competition and want be part of this community.

I've never got involved with the #IAmAliveChallenge because of the rule #3 (I don't have any other social media), but I just discovered the #AliveAndThriving that might fit best for my outdoor adventures with the dogs (although not financially oriented at all obviously).
