More Canadian junk/LPUD/Reblog lottery

in Silver Gold Stackers11 months ago (edited)

Starting off with some 80% Canadian silver junk coins, I got them for 10% over spot and its a pretty good deal because the 2 dollars have some numismatic value be it they are not in the best shape but still might bring me some extra profit when I try to sell.

Coin specifications for our 2 special dollars right below.
I got AI to tell you about the coins, I figure its more efficient and its not like I can get very creative telling you the facts on these coins.

Starting with the BC centennial dollar

AI:
The British Columbia centennial dollar is a commemorative coin that was issued by the Royal Canadian Mint in 1958 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the province of British Columbia. The coin features a design by artist Charles Comfort depicting a totem pole and a stylized eagle, along with the words "British Columbia Centennial 1858-1958" and the denomination of "one dollar."

The British Columbia centennial dollar was issued in limited quantities and is highly sought after by collectors. In addition to its beautiful design and historical significance, the coin's silver content also makes it a valuable investment for those interested in precious metals.

And the Canadian confederation centennial dollar

AI:
The Canadian Confederation Centennial dollar is a commemorative coin that was issued by the Royal Canadian Mint in 1967 to mark the 100th anniversary of Canadian Confederation. The coin features a design by the Canadian artist Alex Colville, depicting a stylized voyageur and a modernistic representation of a Canada goose in flight.

The Canadian Confederation Centennial dollar is highly sought after by collectors due to its historical significance and its attractive design. The coin is also notable for being one of the last Canadian silver dollars to be minted for circulation, as the Canadian government discontinued the use of silver in its coinage the following year.

In addition to the standard circulation version of the coin, a special proof version was also produced, which features a mirror-like finish and is struck with greater precision than the regular version. The proof version of the coin is considerably rarer and more valuable than the circulation version.

We also got $1.50 in 80% silver half dollars

@bitcoinman's bits of wisdom

  • Invest only what you can afford to lose and be mindful of the potential risks.
  • Leverage is a great tool for loosing money fast.
  • Numismatics for the lows stick to smart stacking baby.
  • Be cautious of new schemes in crypto, like ICOs, DeFi, and NFTs, do your research before investing.

The 1958 is one of my Fav Canadian dollars but I love the 1949 better.

What's the 1949 one a ship right ?

Aye matey. ☠️⛵️

Thank you so much @bitcoinman ! Keep up the great work my friend !

The old cad dollars have the best “hand feel” of all… imo.

Interesting fact about (pre-‘67) Cad coinage:

$1 of face value = 0.6 oz of .999 Ag

So, the $1 dollar coins have 0.6oz .999 Ag

As do: 2 x .50 cent pieces, 4 quarters, or ten dimes.

Also, back then of course nickels we’re made of nickel, but I don’t have those stats at hand. 🤩👍👍

I know that bit and I think it's a really cool concept to match the weight with the different denomination

Adds up to 5 bucks, ya got 3 ounces… I like it, and big fan of old Cad coins 😁👍👍

Canadian junk is the next best thing to US Constitutional coins! Hehehe!!!

Lol unfortunately I have to agree

Interesting coins and history behind them. Always good to pick them up for the price you did too.

Yes indeed, can't go wrong that way but I think I have good potential to score on the numismatics value

At least you have more silver under your back! Enjoy the accumulation.

You received an upvote of 80% from Precious the Silver Mermaid!

Thank you for contributing more great content to the #SilverGoldStackers tag.
You have created a Precious Gem!

The coins looks so nice and also very awesome to know about them as well.

Some cool silver there! They don't have to be pretty if they're silver.
