It's a pretty special place, and yes I stayed until after dark, got half frozen and watched the stars...that's part of the show.
And yeah, the deer will live a little longer, maybe for a full term of life even. I'll let you in on a little secret...I could have shot it a half dozen times but chose not to, it didn't seem right on this particular occasion. 😉
