Woke up with a mission. Thanks to @acidyo reminding me of something that used to exist. Well, I think its about to exist again. No, wait. It exists again. As a matter of fact, you can go test it out at https://audio.3speak.tv (the demo).
As with many things we are building, I'm probably going to slap it first on https://snapie.io give it a good test, before reaching out to frontends for integration. But, to be honest, its cake to use. A real dev (not me) could integrate this into their frontend in less than an hour.
A shoutout to @eddiespino who helped me set this up and get it working. (he's being a vampire today too, I guess)
I should mention. We started getting Mantequillasoft off the ground, and Eddie began making a portal for it. I think its awesome, I think its hilarious, but its also catchy. More details on this very soon.

I tried the demo on my phone. I had to use an audio recorder app to make a file for it. I can see that for some people it would be more convenient to lead audio comments than to type, but then could you use text to speech to transcribe it?
I've used Ubuntu for many years and it does what I need. I just haven't had time to try other distros. I know a few Hivers use Linux and we ought to build that community as it's also about freedom.

there are new flavors all the time... also, btw, there's a new alternative to wine that gives you the windows apps you might need.
I've not used Wine for a while as I don't really need any Windows stuff, but it's nice to have the option.
