Moving from one token in one location to another token in a completely different place?? We have your tool.
When swapping tokens and moving them from one place to another, we often need to decide the most efficient route for our tokens. Ideally, we would want to convert and transfer them in the most efficient (cheapest + least steps) way possible. We created a tool for the community to have the best data possible to make the decision.
Who wants to spend a $10 fee on a $100 token conversion, right?
This is a tool to help you make the best decision
To make these decisions easier for the Hive community, the Peak Open Projects team has been developing the Token Routes tool. This tool aims to help users find the most efficient routes for swapping tokens across exchanges. It not only shows the most efficient route, but it also provides various routes with relevant information, allowing users to make informed decisions.
OUR FOCUS
We have started with a focus on Hive related tokens. (Hive, HBD, Hive-Engine, Splinterlands tokens)
We have added 15 LOCATIONS (Chains, DEXs, CEXs, Swap Sites) and hundreds of tokens
BETA STATUS
With this early release we are hoping that members of the community will test and share their results over on our Discord Channel or a new channel in the c/About PeakD Sting Channel
We are releasing early because we believe our community can give us lots of feedback that would love to hear about consistently.

How to use the Token Routes tool?
Using the Token Routes tool is straightforward. You can access it by clicking on the Tools tab in HiveHub and then selecting Token Routes or going directly through this routes link Routes link.
STEP 1: SET YOUR PARAMETERS
- From & Location: (Point A) Choose your starting token and its location
- To & Location: (Point B) Specify the Ending token and its desired location
- Starting Amount: Indicate the amount of the starting token you want to swap
- Max Steps: Set the maximum number of allowed conversions for the routes.
("Best of Each" is an option for max steps that runs the routes for the best routes at each max step) - Exclude Locations: This will exclude locations you can't use or don't want to use. (For example USA restrictions)
STEP 2: FIND THE ROUTES
After defining the fields, click on the Calculate Routes button, and there you go! You can now see the different routes to swap your initial token to your desired token and destination. The Token Routes table provides information such as the number of steps, fees, loss/gain in the swap, and the resulting token amount.
For more details about a specific route, click on the row to view the description of each step and the type of transaction is needed and usually the fee involved.
That's it! Utilizing the latest "TOKEN ROUTES" feature for the Hive community is that easy.
Remember the project is still under development and with the communities help input optimizations, new locations and other features will be added to make it even better.

I haven't tried it yet but if it looks like it will be a Godsend. I haven't been able to find a route (that's worth the cost) to get SPS into GBP. Until relatively recently I was able to go to Binance and off ramp there but since that was shut down I've been stuck.
I even signed up for Kraken but then got stuck when I realised I would have to go via ETH chain and my tokens were in metamask so it would be yet another charge to swap them. I ended up with USDT on Binance and gave up, deciding to use it to buy BTC with instead.
I can't tell you how much I'm hoping this will "work". Can't wait to try it out.
Oh yes, and having a visual representation of what's going on is gold for me. I drew out various flow charts for myself because tyring to read through loads of blog posts or watch youtube videos was just too confusing.
Well check the DEXs that we have on there if they have GBP
Because if you can get something like BTC to them then you should be set.
I can tell you from personal experience that we tend to use SimpleSwap to convert HIVE to BTC so it may take you that route of converting SPS to HIVE then to BTC and into your account.
I will say right now that we're working on a change of how the swap sites (simpleswap) work so that they don't try to do 2 transactions in a row which to us is a mistake. HOpefully that gets changed today.

The only way I found to get GBP off an exchange, recently, was Kraken, Coinbase and CDC. The latter I've closed my account for and wouldn't use again.
The problem I had with both Kraken and Coinbase was after withdrawing SPS and swapping to USDT it was in metamask and you can't go USDT to Kraken or Coinbase from Metamask without swapping again because you end up with a BEP20 token.
All this is probably obvious to you but it's taken me months to work out, not least because I didn't realise that often when people are talking about Binance in discord they are actually meaning BSC. And, I didn't know that BEP20 and ERC20 were important and needed to match up between metamask and the exchanges. That bit is usually left out when more knowledgeable people talk about the routes they take.
I'm hoping to play around with routes later today and see what I end up with.

Interesting. I avoided the BTC route because I thought it would be too expensive. I tried the LTC route but there wasn't enough liquidity at the time. This tool is going to soooooooooooo helpful.
Wow! This seems like a really useful tool, especially in view of the fact that Hive can sometimes be really tricky to exchange!
HIVE can still have plenty of extended routes involved with it but at least you can see what some of them are... some people (like myself) may even choose the one with smaller results if the number of steps in the route are fewer to simplify the process.
