Yesterday I was busy all day. Saturdays are busy work days, but I also try to spend all my free time with my family—weekends are the only extended time I have with my kids, after all, so I don't want to waste it. But I did make time to knock out my squats. I did a set of 50 in the morning. My kids tried to do it with me. Then they made fun of me when I was winded and breathing hard by the end. So it was a fun time for all of us. Then after dinner I did a set of 40 followed by a set of 30, bringing me to 120 for the day.
That brings me to 1105 for the month!
I'm doing this 100 Squats per day Challenge with @livinguktaiwan, @pardinus, and @xrayman to raise funds for Cancer Research. Read my challenge announcement here.
If anyone else wants to join, please do, and please mention it here! And if you want to donate, please donate here or send HIVE/HBD directly to @livinguktaiwan and she will convert it to fiat and donate it herself.
Almost all of us will have to deal with cancer in our lifetimes, either we will get it or someone we love will get it. 1 in 8 women will eventually get breast cancer. An astonishing 1 in 3 men will eventually get prostate cancer. There are many other cancers with similar scary high rates. If you are able, please consider donating or spreading the word of this fundraiser.

Love that mind set! Congratulations! Keep up the continuous effort. It will pay out, for sure! See you tomorrow, my friend!
And remember "Squat by squat" we are gonna make it! 🏋
I love this tag line 😄
Great line! We can make that our motto.
Did your kids enjoy doing the squats with you? It seems kids are natural at squating, and it's not an Asian thing! Could be a great bonding thing😄
Squats are pretty easy for them. My kids (and pretty much all the kids I see here) are squatting down pretty much most of the time. They talk with friends—everyone squats down to talk. They play Switch outside—everyone squats down to play. They watch TV—everyone squats down. So they get lots of practice. I think they enjoyed watching me struggle more than doing it with me. haha

What a great initiative, and the little words of encouragement on the calendar are awesome! Such a simple concept and yet, could powerfully change people’s lives.
I understand the sting of your children making fun of you when exercising too! My daughter is training to do jump rope for heart at her school and a week ago I boldly asked if I could have a shot. Imagine the glee they found when dear old dad tried his hand at a ‘sport’ he hadn’t attempted since he was 6 or 7. They thought it was hilarious.
Thanks for sharing your fundraising initiative and good luck with the rest of the month - I’ll keep an eye out for any more of your posts around this, and would’ve joined in, but I buggered up my back after the skipping attempt and have been walking crooked for over a week now.
