[Acid Plays] League of Legends

in Hive Gaming3 years ago

Been a while since I've had some time to record some gameplay and if you had asked me a week ago that I'd be recording and posting League of Legends I would've thought you've lost your mind, but here we are.

I was recently invited by a couple Hivers to play Dota 2 and it just felt so alien to me even though people say LoL is pretty similar I just couldn't deal with it at all. It could be that it's due to the long pause I had in LoL as well and the game still being different enough or that the skill level in most of these games has increased so much you really need to spend a lot of time on them to get somewhere with the increase in players both of these games have had lately and esports in general all over the world. So after ragequitting Dota I kinda wanted to see what was up with LoL since it's been years since I've played it properly, I think last bull run was the last time I was playing it daily.

To no surprise it didn't go as well as I would've thought, I played a couple ARAM's before jumping into ranked solo mode and both times I was assigned a support role even though I wanted to play mid which has been my main role maining Vel'koz 90% of the time. Worst part is that I got mid twice in the selection screen but someone left it before the game started. :'(

For you experienced league players, brace yourself for some big mistakes and newbish playstyles as we play Lux as support with Vayne as AD.

The second game I got to play support again and this time I just didn't really feel like playing a champion I'm not that experienced with so I just said fuck it and went Vel'koz support, I mean how bad can it go? Well, turns out really bad. At least I could flex my golden skin. :')

Third time's the charm! We finally got a mid position and no one dodged in selection so I got to play Vel'koz in his recommended role!

Unfortunately that game ended sooner than I would've hoped with the other team forfeiting but I guess we just rekt them that badly. I also guess it has been so long or so many seasons that I've played ranked at reached the gold rank that I'll have to start from the beginning now at Bronze. :')

Gonna be a difficult rise as at these ranks it matters so much what kind of people you have in your team, if they're going to be complete new to it or do something like quitting midgame which someone did in the first recording or if there's going to also be smurfs (experienced players playing on a second account wrecking newbies) in either of the teams.

I may also not completely give up on Dota cause a few Hivers that got me to try it out I don't think I'll be able to convince to play LoL instead and we all know it's not only much more fun to play these kind of games with people you know but at the same time you can have some decent teamwork over voice communication.

Until next time!

PS! Apologize for the weird sounds in the last recording, noticed my mic gets weird if I'm charging the headset at the same time.

I'm sending part of the post rewards back to curators through @reward.app due to some excessive autovotes for this type of posts.

Sort:

its most annoying thing when u want to play mid and u get all the shit roles just not mid XD mostly cause of that I stopped playing league

Yeah, thankfully today I got mid twice in a row. :')

lol nice XD thats rare, lmao

Oh cool! You are maining the same lux skin as I am, I got this nice drake steal with lux ult the other day.
I clipped it here: https://streamable.com/tww5to :)
I myself am a Renekton top main tho.

Haha nice one! You actively streaming on Twitch?

Sometimes, I stream a variety of games like: osu!, Fortnite, Apex Legends, FiveM or LoL. I used to be streaming on DLive when that was still around :D
Heres a link:

You should post when you go live, both frontends have twitch embed!

I will next time, didnt know there are that many gamers here.

LoL is great but the mechanics of each champion are quite complex. When everyone plays their role in the game, it's enjoyable even if we lose...

Without a doubt support is one of the most difficult positions, it is not easy to assume that role.

Yeah been noticing a lot of new champions since I've been gone have appeared, difficult to play against someone you have no idea what he does. xD

I had played it at the beginning of season 2, the truth is that it seemed like a very entertaining game many years ago. like every role-playing game and character selection always had the same problem, the new hero they created was very powerful and easy to use, although you could try it on the PBE server for free before being released on the official one. I stopped playing it for the simple fact of how endless the games were and the disgusting attitude of the users for not doing what they believed best in the game. I do not understand how there are people who create merits through a game

I've been addicted for years playing Dota 2, and even though LOL seemed more interesting for me afterwards, I literally tried to stay away from these MOBA games so I won't find a new addiction again...

I never got into LoL. There are a few MOBAS that I did play though. I may check out LoL now that I know how to play these types of games.

Yeah, be ready for a very toxic community, they're known for it. :P

Ya. That was why I stopped playing. They hate dealing with noobs.

Yeah, it exponentially becomes more important for endgame how you perform early on in games like LoL, you die a couple times and they already get pissed off at you for feeding enemies cause it'll mean they'll easily get killed by them as well.

If you create a team of 5 people, you don't have to worry about the toxicity of the community :)

when you want to do a duo!

Dunno if I wanna screw up your rank. xD

it's always good to be a feeder!!

Years ago I played Metin2 last. I stopped playing games when the computer broke down 😀

With lux you should have started with E to poke the enemy. I didn't expect you to play league of legends, welcome to hell.

Depends what ADC you have, he had Vayne so its easy to draw the first blood with Lux's Q and Vayne's.

Indifferent to the Adc, Lux usually starts with E if there is no invasion to wear down the enemy. Vayne in the first levels is not so strong, also Vayne as a first level starts with Q.

ok nerds

I was wandering through your blog one night and saw this post, but I said "ok, I'll sleep and tomorrow I'll comment on this, it's funny to see acid playing Lux" here I am, 2 days later.

I've known for years that you've played LoL sometimes, but I had no idea you were so... not so good. Do you play on the NA server? I could join and we play in bot lane something like Morgana and Lux (I promise you will laugh too much with that duo).

I was watching your YouTube channel and saw the video about Reddit, I really laughed a lot with that one XD

EU and yeah i'm really not good, I've mainly only played vel'koz and this was after a 2 year break so give me a break :p

Vel'Koz is too difficult a champion for me, you must be a professional mathematician/physicist to calculate the geometry of each of the skills (as they are all skill-shots)

and saw the video about Reddit

lol which one is that?
