In this post; I'll share my winning match with Horny Toad in splinterlands.

THEME: HORNY TOAD

When the Horny Toad puffs up and fills itself with air, razor-sharp spines protrude in every direction from its body. This amazing defense helps make sure the toads are not eaten as snacks. They also urinate uncontrollably when frightened, an attribute repulsive enough to save their lives quite frequently - Source.

I already had 2 of this card in my collection and then I went to the market to buy some more for level up.
I wished it to be in level 4 at least but when I saw its stats, I became kinda disappointed.

When I've seen that level 4 gives you only 1+ life than level 3 and level 3 gives you only 1+speed than level 2 and cards for leveling up is 5 for level 2, 14 for level 3 and 30 for level4; I knew that moment that it's better in level 2 or in higher level.
But as I was not going to leveling it up into 6, 7 so I thought it's best in level 2.

Then I bought 3 more cards only and combined all the cards in level 2.

Tell us about your lineup. Explain why you put each card in that position and why the Horny Toad is a good fit for the ruleset.

So, to explain my lineup... Why did I use the cards I did? And why in that order?
Yeah about that... In this match; I've played with life splinter.

A Brief Info About The Match

The battles mana cap was 46 with the "Fog of War & Equalizer" Rule.
I used life for the match while my opponent used dragon splinter.

My Lineup.

I had my Goblin Mech in level 6, Horny Toad in level 2, Prismatic Energy in level 6, Peacebringer in level 6, Air Elemental in level 4 & Evangelist in level 3.
It was my setup.

And my opponent had his/her cards as Lord A. (Gold) in level 2, Shieldbearer in level 1, Chain Golem (Gold) in level 2, Warrior of Peace in level 1, Elven Defender in level 1 & Defender of Truth (Gold) in level 3.

Let me talk about cards that I used in this battle.

Summoner: TYRUS PALADIUM ^{(RARE Life Summoner)}

My TYRUS PALADIUM is in level 6 and she offers +1 shield to his monsters, He needs 3 mana for battle.

No 01: Goblin Mech ^{(Common Neutral Monster)}

This mechanical monstrosity is a recent creation of Gurklies Gobson, the wild and wealthy Goblin scientist. As with everything the Goblins make, it runs on Goblin power, meaning that it’s full of Goblins, turning cranks and pulling levers. The Mech is run by seven Goblins in addition to the pilot. Source

My Goblin Mech is in level 6 with 5 melee attack, 3 speed, 6 shield, 7 health with "Piercing & Stun" ability.
It needs 10 mana.

No 02: Horny Toad ^{(Common Neutral Monster)}

MyHorny Toad is in level 2 with 1 melee attack, 2 speed & 2 health with "Reach" ability.
It needs 3 mana.

No 03: Prismatic Energy ^{(Rare Neutral Monster)}

A Gloridax experiment gone awry has resulted in a blinding Prismatic Energy loose in the Splinterlands. The Gloridax news briefs have assured the public that there is only one Prism on the loose, but the mysterious Energy moves fast, leaving a wake of magical destruction wherever it goes. Source

My Prismatic Energy is in level 6 with 2 magic attack, 5 speed, 10 health with "Magic Reflect & Void" ability.
It needs 8 mana.

No 04 PEACEBRINGER ^{(RARE Life Monster)}

My PEACEBRINGER is in level 6 with 4 ranged attack, 4 speed, 6 health.
It needs 4 mana.

This is another card without whom I can't think of making a nice team of life splinter.

No matter what, I try to use him in every battle that I fight with life splinter.

When it comes to his attack power, he has 4 ranged attack which is too good for a monster that needs only 4 mana.

And his speed & life is also good as 4 & 6.
I like this card very much.

No 05: Air Elemental ^{Epic Life Monster}

My Air Elemental is in level 4 with 3 ranged attack, 6 speed, 6 health with "Dodge" ability and it needs 5 mana.

I like this card too much for its high attack power and high speed.

It's a great asset for life splinter.

I'm getting addicted to the power of this genie which made me think that it's a real asset for life splinter.

No 06: EVANGELIST ^{(EPIC Life Monster)}

With extremely loud voices, these Khymian criers recount the tales and prophecies of Khymia, their all-powerful Goddess. They have learned to use frequency and vibration to smite their enemies and support their allies, although they cannot always predict the outcome - Source.

My EVANGELIST is in level 3 with 4 ranged attack, 2 speed, 6 health with "Heal" ability.
It needs 6 mana.

In my personal opinion... Horny Toad is not a good fit for the ruleset.
Because of its low life and power.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

Yeah, my strategy worked out perfectly but Horny Toad is not the one that gets the credit.

Do you use the Horny Toad often? Why or why not?

This is the first time that I used this card and I don't think I'll use it in the future until I need to.
Because it doesn't provide very nice support, It's a very simple monster with simple power.

Here goes the first hit from my Horny Toad although that hit didn't do anything.

This is the time when my Horny Toad could take a single life of an opponent monster after hitting other monsters for around 6/7 times.

So, the Horny Toad could live till the last moment, thanks to the equalizer rule otherwise he'd be dead at the first level maybe.

By playing this match, I won 24.088 Dec and +15 League Rating.
