THEME: RUSTY ANDROID

Edition: REWARD
Rarity: COMMON
Element: NEUTRAL
ATTACK: MELEE

ABILITIES: Magic Reflect at level 1

Let me say my very first expression about this monster when it came live.
It was almost the beginning of reward edition cards and I was seeing everyone getting this rusty android and I was looking to get one/some as I liked its appearance and I was somehow new to splinterlands at that time with s little knowledge about this game.

Then I've found my first Rusty Android one day in a quest reward and as far as I remember I even published a post saying "I got my first Rusty Android".

Then I played some battles with this monster but I didn't like it on the battlefield so I stopped playing with it and thus the love turned into hatred.

At present... I was waiting for the new theme of the week as it was getting late and then I've found out that Rusty Android is the one and I thought "Let me try it once again".

It's a melee attacker with a special ability: Magic Reflect at level 1.
For this ability, magic attack monsters of the opponent team should think twice before hitting it as they'll likely get a reflected shot.

I bought some cards and made it level 3.

For its melee attack, it's best to use in the first place unless it's a battle with something special ruleset.

Stats of RUSTY ANDROID.

Now my RUSTY ANDROID is in level 3 which offers me 2 melee attack, 2 speed & 7 health with the "Magic Reflect" ability.
And it needs 6 mana to play.

  • I've created this post sharing a gameplay link of one of my battles using RUSTY ANDROID.

Tag splinterlands.

  • I just finished tagging splinterlands.

Tell us about your lineup. Explain why you put each card in that position and why the RUSTY ANDROID is a good fit for the ruleset.

  • So, to explain my lineup... Why did I use the cards I did? And why in that order?
Yeah about that... In this match; I've played with fire splinter using the Yodin Zaku summoner that I added to my collection recently.

A Brief Info About The Match

The battles mana cap was 44 with the "Healed Out" Rule.
I used fire splinter for the match while my opponent also used fire splinter against me.

My Lineup.

image.png

I had my Yodin Zaku in level 1, Rusty Android in level 3, Fineas Rage in level 2, War Chaang in level 2, Cornealus in level 1, Centaur in level 3 & Fire Beetle in level 3.

And my opponent had his/her cards as Living Lava in level 1, Spirit Miner in level 1, Zalran Efreet in level 1, Pyromancer in level 1, Spart Pixies in level 1 & Ettin Spearman in level 1.

Let me talk about cards that I used in this battle.

Summoner: YODIN ZAKU (LEGENDARY Fire Summoner) - as summoner.

This is the legendary summoner that I wished to get so much from the airdrop and I even invested in some booster packs to get my hands on this fantastic summoner.

I remember publishing around 2-3 posts about me investing for this summoner and I also talked about the feedback about what went wrong and I even thought that I got one from the airdrop and then I understood that I better leave watching that dream of getting a Yodin Zaku from the airdrop.

2-3 days before, I was shopping... in the splinterlands market.
And then my eyes stalked on this card and as DEC price was kinda high and I had to spend a lot less DEC than normal times so I took this chance and added a Yodin Zaku in my collection.

This summoner is a perfect one to make opponents run away.
Yodin Zaku offers +1 ranged attack, +1 health, and the "blast" ability to all friendly monsters.
Yodin Zaku needs 7 mana for battle.

No 01: Rusty Android (Common Neutral Monster)

It's a melee attacker with a special ability: Magic Reflect at level 1.
For this ability, magic attack monsters of the opponent team should think twice before hitting it as they'll likely get a reflected shot.

My RUSTY ANDROID is in level 3 with 2 melee attack, 2 speed, 7 health with "Magic Reflect" ability.
It needs 6 mana.

No 02: FINEAS RAGE (RARE Fire Monster)

I used to like Giant Orc for "reach" ability till I've found out Fineas Rage.
When you find a high mana clip battle and you decide to play with fire splinter, Fineas Rage should be in the second position without further ado.

My Fineas Rage is in level 3 with 3 melee attack, 5 speed & 9 health with "Reach" ability.
It needs 7 mana.

Go on check out this card from Splinterlands Market if you wish to.

No 03: WAR CHAANG (EPIC Neutral Monster)

My WAR CHAANG is in level 3 which offers me 2 melee attack, 2 ranged attack, 3 speed & 9 health with "Retaliate" ability.

And it needs 7 mana to play.

It's an amazing monster who has a double attack.

From the visual and from the official lore of the monster, we can see that this monster is something that's been used in war and I've only seen them in cinema before.

Although I used this monster in the battle in the third position as I used another double attack monster in the second position.

For splinterlands, this is a fantastic monster with a double attack.
I was kind of confused about the best position for this monster in the battle.

I've learned that it's best to use in the second position as it has both ranged and melee attacks.
From the second position, it can attack with a ranged attack and if the front monster dies then this monster can come to the front and attack with melee.

Go on check out this card from Splinterlands Market if you wish to.

No 04: CORNEALUS Legendary Neutral Monster)

To be honest, I bought this monster only to use alongside Yodin Zaku as it already has big health and big attack power, and the given "Blast" ability from Yodin Zaku really makes it a fantastic monster to do battle with, I guess.

My Cornealus is in level 1 with 2 melee attack, 3 speed & 12 health with "Heal" ability.
It needs 10 mana to play.

Go on check out this card from Splinterlands Market if you wish to.

No 05: CENTAUR COMMON Neutral Monster)

This is the monster that I abandoned long-ago thinking this is not that helpful for a battle although I used to like it very much at the beginning.
The problem at the beginning was that I didn't understand the rules of the game back then and I thought a monster is helpful when I saw it attacking without getting hit and a monster is not helpful that only gets hit.
But I didn't understand why a monster kept getting hit and probably that's why I dumped a lot of monsters that I liked and this one is one of em.

Right now I have a nice feeling about this monster as I know it has nice powers and with the nice rule and proper position, it can do better.

My Centaur is in level 3 with 1 melee attack, 4 speed & 5 health with "Snipe" ability.
It needs 10 mana to play.

Go on check out this card from Splinterlands Market if you wish to.

No 06: FIRE BEETLE (COMMON Fire Monster)

This is probably the most used fire monster in my collection along with other helpful monsters.
It's a very powerful beetle with fire on it that has a nice ability which is "Snipe" from level 1 and it's a very helpful monster for little league battles.

My Fire Beetle is in level 3 with 2 ranged attacks, 2 speed & 4 health with "Snipe" ability.
It needs 3 mana to play.

Go on check out this card from Splinterlands Market if you wish to.

  • In my personal opinion... RUSTY ANDROID is a nice fit for the ruleset for its power and ability.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

  • Yeah, my strategy worked out perfectly and I'll try to use similar helpful monsters next time if I need to.

On the battlefield.

image.png

My Yodin Zaku did a fantastic job giving the "Blast" ability to all my monsters and I really enjoyed watching those monsters of the opponent team got blasted.
Sometimes one monster of the opponent team got blasted and sometimes two monsters of the opponent team got blasted at the same time for a single shot of my team which means, a single shot of my monster sometimes could attack three monsters at once.
My Rusty Android also did well with its melee attack and it's "magic reflect" ability until it died.

image.png

Leaving only a ranged attack monster in hell, all the monsters of the opponent team died at the end of level 2 and I lost only a single monster.
Then all my monsters were like stripping and drinking the blood of the last monster of the opponent team while that opponent monster was unable to do even a single attack as it was a ranged attack at the front position.

image.png

The battle got finished at the end of round 3 and my team only lost a single monster.
I think that my line up was quite impressive and the opponent used low-level cards which was another great chance for me to win easily.

It was indeed a fantastic battle that my team fought.

@tipu curate

Thanks for trying but I already got a tipu upvote without a curator, it seems.

wow you are very popular.

No, it shouldn't be about popularity.
I don't know why it's happening.
It seems some peoples are getting small upvote from tipu without the comment of a curator.
Besides... I'd get a bigger upvote from your curation if it was normal.
It seems abnormal to me.
Thanks for your understanding.

I like it when I get a match with my favorite rule but finding rusty a suitable lineup was damn difficult for me for my match. While with Y.Zaku every monsters seems to become a deadly weapon lol.
