Hola! y Bienvenido!
Es un placer poder al fin hacer un post en Hive, estuve esperando desde hace mucho una delegacion para poder poner algunos comentarios aqui y alla pero este es mi primer post como tal, mi nombre es Humberto Bellorin y soy Venezolano! he visto a muchos paisanos por aca y veo que la comunidad es muy sana por lo que preparense para una dosis semanal de juegos que puede correr mi Dual Core con 2 GB de Ram, si bien es cierto que tengo una PS3 aun no tengo idea de como transmitir o siquiera grabar las partidas para luego subirlas por aca, por ahora estamos atascados con mi PC pero resulta que tengo un juego increible para estrenar mi usuario: Age Of Empires es uno de esos juegos que lo unico que puedes hacer al verlo es inclinarte y agradecer a sus creadores por tal obra, todo lo que puedes hacer lo pone en el top de esos juegos que jugaba en el cyber pero es que tambien es de los primeros juegos de estrategia en tiempo real que jugue por lo que empecemos a analizarlo un poco mas a fondo.
Age Of Empires aunque tiene un modo historia en donde tenemos que cumplir varios objetivos me voy a enfocar un poco mas en el modo libre en donde hasta 12 civilizaciones interactuan en un mapa del tamaño que elijamos, tendremos que construir nuestra sociedad desde la epoca de piedra y llevarla por todo lo alto hasta la de plata pasando por hacer casas, tener un ejercito o intercambiando vienes con las demas civilizaciones, el juego tiene tantas formas de jugarse que resulta un pecado decir que yo solo lo juego tratando de acabar con todos, nunca entendi la mecanica de los tradings y la diplomacia con las demas civilizaciones y a veces me parece un poco injusto como la inteligencia artificial nos aplasta a cada rato, porque este juego es DURO y toma bastante tiempo entender como jugarlo de una forma que no terminemos arruinados en 10 minutos.

It's a pleasure to finally make a post on Hive, I've been waiting for a long time for a delegation to put some comments here and there but this is my first post as such, my name is Humberto Bellorin and I'm Venezuelan! I have seen many countrymen around here and I see that the community is very healthy so get ready for a weekly dose of games that can run my Dual Core with 2 GB of Ram, although it is true that I have a PS3 I still have no idea how to transmit or even record the games and then upload them here, for now we are stuck with my PC but it turns out that I have an incredible game to release my user: Age Of Empires is one of those games that the only thing you can do when you see it is to bow and thank its creators for such a work, everything you can do puts it in the top of those games I played in the cyber but it is also one of the first real-time strategy games I played so let's start to analyze it a little more in depth.
Age Of Empires although it has a story mode where we have to meet several objectives I will focus a little more on the free mode where up to 12 civilizations interact on a map of the size we choose, we will have to build our society from the stone age and take it all the way up to the silver age by making houses, having an army or exchanging goods with other civilizations, the game has so many ways to play that it is a sin to say that I only play it trying to kill everyone, I never understood the mechanics of trading and diplomacy with other civilizations and sometimes it seems a little unfair how the artificial intelligence crushes us every time, because this game is HARD and it takes a long time to understand how to play it in a way that we do not end up ruined in 10 minutes.
Asi que empece una nueva partida y desde el primer momento supe que estaba perdido, por si no sabian uno de los puntos mas importantes y que debes estar siempre pendiente en este juego es de los recursos que tienes a tu alcance, los aldeanos son los encargados de sacar estos recursos ya sea comida, madera, piedra u oro y traerlos a la plaza central para luego poder usarlos en otras construcciones o tropas, el juego tiene un sistema de progreso muy simple en el que puedes investigar ciertas tecnologias para desbloquear nuevos tipos de tropas o nuevas construcciones y ademas un sistema de donde cada cierto tiempo y cuando tengas suficientes recursos puedes subir de nivel a tu sociedad avanzando de edad, con esto podemos ir desde la edad de piedra hasta la edad de plata y cada una de estas etapas significa un progreso gigante ya que desbloquea aun mas tropas y construcciones que podemos usar para nuestra sociedad.
Al principio de esta partida lo primero que hice fue juntar madera, comida y construir algunas casas, las casas son importantes ya que es lo que nos permite aumentar la cantidad de personas o tropas que ´podemos tener, aunque despues de ver como quede destruido creo que es mejor ahorrarse lo que cuesta construir una de estas y apurarse en conseguir todos los materiales para salir de la etapa de piedra, no hay mucho que podamos hacer aca, nuestras tropas estan limitadas a un aldeano con un garrote y solo tenemos dos construcciones, aunque son suficientes para acaparar una cantidad decente de comida. At the beginning of this game the first thing I did was to gather wood, food and build some houses, the houses are important because it is what allows us to increase the amount of people or troops we can have, although after seeing how it was destroyed I think it is better to save what it costs to build one of these and hurry to get all the materials to get out of the stone stage, there is not much we can do here, our troops are limited to a villager with a club and we only have two buildings, although they are enough to hoard a decent amount of food. los npc enemigos en este juego son una locura, no habia siquiera empezado en esta nueva etapa cuando ya habian civilizaciones decretandome como enemigo y tratando de acabar con mis casas, pude repeler a duras penas sus ataques y me decidi a entrenar mas tropas tanto de caballeria como arqueros que fueron dos de las construcciones que se desbloquearon cuando entre en esta nueva etapa la edad de las herramientas, construi un par de bases subterraneas que permiten a los aldeanos tener una ruta mas corta cuando vayan a depositar los recursos que estan sacando (como madera, plata) y me apresure a buscar mas fuentes de comida, en este juego me atreveria a decir que es el recurso mas valioso porque es el que te permite entrenar tropas, pasar de una etapa a otra, spawning nuevos aldeanos y la mayoria de las construcciones e investigaciones usan este recurso.
Es verdad que despues de esto la plata y el oro juegan un papel crucial en las etapas de bronce y plata pero aun no llegamos a eso, por cierto si bien en la captura a la derecha podran ver un pequeño voton de diplomacia, hasta el dia de hoy no se para que sirve, se supone que puedes definir el status que tu civilizacion tiene con las demas sociedades del mapa pero casi siempre esas mismas sociedades me ponen de enemigo nada mas iniciar el juego y aunque hay una mecanica para rendirles tributo (dar un % de tus recursos a cambio de cambiar el status) no me ha funcionado siquiera una vez.
the enemy npc's in this game are crazy, I had not even started in this new stage when there were already civilizations decreeing me as an enemy and trying to finish with my houses, I could barely repel their attacks and I decided to train more troops both cavalry and archers that were two of the constructions that were unlocked when I entered this new stage the age of tools, I built a couple of subway bases that allow the villagers to have a shorter route when they go to deposit the resources they are taking (such as wood, silver) and I rushed to find more sources of food, in this game I dare to say that it is the most valuable resource because it is the one that allows you to train troops, move from one stage to another, spawning new villagers and most of the constructions and researches use this resource.
It is true that after this silver and gold play a crucial role in the bronze and silver stages but we are not there yet, by the way although in the screenshot on the right you can see a small diplomacy voton, until today I don't know what it is for, it is supposed that you can define the status that your civilization has with the other societies of the map but almost always those same societies make me an enemy as soon as I start the game and although there is a mechanism to pay tribute to them (give a % of your resources in exchange for changing the status) it has not worked even once.
Asi que tendremos que defendernos lo mejor que odamos, entrene y subi de nivel mis tropas ademas de que mande una delegacion para buscar recursos en otras partes del mapa, ya en este punto se podian ver a los aldeanos de las demas civilizaciones pasando muy tranquilos por mi punto de control asi que para demostrarles quien mande puse varios arqueros para que acabaran con ellos cuando los viesen, algo que quiza viendolo en retrospectiva no fue lo mejor ya que al poco rato de acabar con uno de ellos aparecio tanto una CATAPULTA y un sacerdotepara acabar conmigo, veran, una catapulta es una herramienta que indica que una civilizacion ya estaba en una etapa superior a la mia, habia podido encontrar suficientes recursos como para pasar a la edad de bronce pero ni de cerca tenia lso recursos para construir una catapulta, asi que mande a todos mis soldados de bajo nivel a por esa catapulta, murieron la mayoria de ellos pero pude sobrevivir 5 minutos mas antes de...

en este momento supe que estaba perdido, no tenia suficientes recursos como para igualar la capacidad de esa catapulta y mis tropas estaban diezmadas desde el ataque de la ultima, y asi uno a uno mis edificios fueron cayendo, todo el progreso de mi civilizacion fue borrado de un soplido, despues para rematarme llegaron unas tropas en carrozas de otra civilizacion, mi fin habia llegado y habia poco que pudiese hacer, trate de hacer escapar algunos aldeanos a la otra parte del mapa pero no tenia ningun recurso como para construir nuevamente mi sociedad, por lo que aca decidi dar por perdida la partida y volver a empezar.

at this moment I knew I was lost, I did not have enough resources to match the capacity of that catapult and my troops were decimated since the attack of the last one, and so one by one my buildings were falling, all the progress of my civilization was erased in one blow, then to finish me off came some troops in chariots from another civilization, my end had come and there was little I could do, I tried to make some villagers escape to the other side of the map but I had no resources to build my society again, so here I decided to give up the game and start over.
Que aprendimos de todo esto?
- Las tropas enemigas incluso en las dificultades normales son letales y muy molestas
- Tengo que buscar una mejor estrategia que solo buscar comida y subir todos los stats
- invadir a las demas civilizaciones mas temprano
ok quiza todo esto sea un poco apresurado, hacia bastante tiempo que no jugaba este juego y mi falta de practica se vio de inmediato lol, quiza en la proxima partida me vaya mejor, aun asi para tener casi ya 20 años aun veo por que es considerado uno de los mejores juegos de estrategia y me encanta, prefiero este juego que cualquiera de los modernos y no lo digo porque no tenga una pc decente para jugarlos no señor
De cualquier forma, me diverti escribiendo esto y quiza escriba mas aunque soy un poco mas de hacer reseñas de peliculas y series asi que probablemente vuelva por aca cuando tenga algo de bajas especificaciones para jugar, nos vemos!
por cierto, aqui les dejo los requisitos por si quieren jugarlo aunque les advierto que necesitaran una pc gamer super potente para hacerlo.

What did we learn from all this?
- Enemy troops even on normal difficulty are lethal and very annoying.
- I have to find a better strategy than just foraging and raising all the stats.
- invade the other civilizations earlier
Ok maybe all this is a bit rushed, it's been a long time since I played this game and my lack of practice was seen immediately lol, maybe in the next game I will do better, even so to be almost 20 years old I still see why it is considered one of the best strategy games and I love it, I prefer this game than any of the modern ones and I'm not saying that because I don't have a decent pc to play them no sir.
Anyway, I had fun writing this and maybe I'll write more although I'm a bit more of a movie and series reviewer so I'll probably come back here when I have some low specs to play, see you!
by the way, here are the requirements if you want to play it although I warn you that you will need a super powerful gamer pc to do it.

Estoy completamente de acuerdo con esta opinión, la de horas que he pasado con esa saga, es un juego increíble para todo aquel que sea fanático del genero táctico/estrategia. Espero algún día poder jugar sus ultimas entregas, porque de momento mi PC es muy parecida a la tuya y no puede correrlas jaja.

ya no hacen los juegos como antes, yo creo que ese pequeño momento entre los 2000 y el 2010 algo salio mal y todo se giro en torno a los contenidos reducidos por el doble del precio, gracias por la bienvenida!
