Nice one ,I look forward to seeing your lets play.

Yeah I've been watching @strawhats lets play of Plague tale ....ill probably check that out at some point to it looks interesting.

It will be interesting to see how fast you can do that puzzle on the back of the picture frame...I tried for about 15-20 minutes of camera before the thing finally popped open....its a timed thing...damn near drove me crazy hehe :)

Haha! I noticed the puzzles, or at least one of them, was kinda like the ones in the Resident Evil games. There’s probably some inspiration.

I was wondering if you know much about what the criteria is to get a gaming post curated these days?

It used to be if I made a decent post it would get a decent payout but these days Im noticing my gaming posts don't get the attention they used to and often times its not totally worth the effort to record the video, edit it, take screenshots and write up a post.

Is it perhaps due to the increased volume of gaming posts? Like maybe its easier for them to go unnoticed and maybe only a certain percentage can be curated each day?

Im just trying to work out how much time I should spend making a post.I enjoy the process of recording footage and writing up a post but if I spend around 3-4 hours work on a post like this and it makes less than $10 its not really the best use of time.

I guess this ones only a day old it might still get some attention and upvotes before it pays out, just curious how things work on that end nowadays.

There's a lot of factors at play and differentiating who gets votes is one of them. When we have a lot of posts we can only pick so many due to voting power. Our main focus however is on curating active users who take the time to engage in the community and/or on Hive in general.

Being an active and engaging user is probably the best you can do for your account. That way you'll build a network of followers that will vote you so you don't have to rely on the big projects to curate you. Draw people to your content. Don't expect them to come running your way on their own.

Also, and this might sound harsh but that's not what I'm trying to, but if you're doing this purely for the money you might also be doing it for the wrong reasons. You should game and make content because you enjoy it. Not as a chore. But that's just me and my opinion.

Yeah I hear you ,I realised a while ago its best to focus on creating the content I enjoy that way if it earns anything its a bonus.

I've pretty much been mixing it up from the start of HIVE , openmic posts , travel , food ,games just whatever is fun to do.

I just sort of noticed its getting a bit harder to get gaming posts noticed these days and they tend to be the ones that take the longest to make.

Anyway thanks for taking the time to respond, I appreciate it, its insightful.
