Batman Arkham city one of the 10 best games of all time, a game with an unbeatable plot and action scenes and that to this day has sold over 12 million copies and won various prizes. But why is it so successful? Let's examine it.

Batman Arkham city is an action and adventure game developed by rocksteady studios and released in 2011, being the direct sequel to Batman Arkham asylum.
The producer for this game is Warner Bros interactive entertainment, and was released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Windows. Different versions of this game were also released for Wii u, macOS, iOS and Android.
History
I know the plot This is one year after the events of Batman Arkham asylum. After the Arkham asylum and the blackgate prison are closed, the mayor of Gotham decides to create a super prison where criminals can walk freely with the only condition that they do not leave.
Bruce Wayne who is against all this starts a campaign to stop it, and while he is in a rally he is arrested by a group of TYGER mercenaries and is taken to the city of Arkham, with cunning agility and some martial arts he manages to get out where he is locked up and contacts Alfred who sends him a suit with different gadgets. So they have the plans that they are plotting with this prison. In this installment of Batman is accompanied by catwoman who will alternate the character to go on missions.
The Joker returns to participate in this delivery where he is dying due to unstable titanium toxins. The Joker catches Batman and injects him with his sick blood, now Batman, desperate to save himself, searches for an antidote and this will lead him to mr freeze who has been working on a cure for these titanic effects. But freeze is in the penguin's custody. So after defeating the penguin and all his henchmen Batman manages to talk to mr freeze to ask him for the cure but he tells him that he is unstable because he is missing a component Batman reasons and tells him that the blood of ra's al ghul can complete the cure. So after searching and fighting with ra's al ghul and his daughter Talia in the wonder city he gets the remaining component and takes it to mr freeze but he twists and breaks one of the two antidotes and tells her he will give the other one to Batman if she helps him get his wife Nora who is kidnapped by the Joker. Batman refuses and begins to fight mr freeze and while they fight Harley Quinn takes the cure and the Joker takes it. So after reaching an agreement, Batman promises to rescue Nora. When he goes to rescue Nora he looks at the Joker and sees that he is apparently cured and while Batman and the Joker fight Hugo strange takes the opportunity and activates the protocol 10 that this is to end all the prison population of Arkham. So TYGER's mercenaries execute the protocol, killing all the prisoners who find their way.
So Batman now has to deal with multiple things at once, but when he is fighting The Joker Hugo strange from Wonder Tower launches a missile attack where he buries the joker and Batman. When nothing can surprise us anymore there is another plot twist, ra's al ghul reveals himself and says he is the mastermind behind it all. So he kills Strange for not fulfilling his mission and while he's dying he activates Protocol 11 and destroys Wonder Tower. Batman and ra's al ghul manage to escape, immediately The Joker contacts Batman and reveals that he has thalia and will kill her if he doesn't bring him the antidote, So Batman arrives where the Joker is but thalia manages to kill him but they realize that he is the clayface metamorph. So while he is distracted by conversation, the real joker appears and kills thalia when he sees that he is deadlocked, destroys the theater where they are and falls near the Lazarus pit. Batman buries her so that the Joker can't get any younger, then Batman tries to save the Joker with the second antidote but it breaks the bottle and dies, then Batman takes his body out and puts it in the trunk of a car and leaves.
Playability
Batman Arkham city incorporates a gameplay equal but improved from its previous delivery, as it has elements of infiltration and attack tactics in addition to puzzle elements. When you start you have the gadgets you got in arkham asylum but more improved, for example the cryptographic sequencer can now also track radio signals. You also have smoke bombs that you can use to confuse your opponents. With the detective mode you have an x-ray-like vision where you can see the skeleton of your opponents, also clues and locate where snipers are.

Historia
La trama se sitúa un año después de los acontecimientos de Batman Arkham asylum. Luego de que clausurarán el asilo Arkham y la prisión blackgate, el alcalde de Gotham decide crear una súper prisión donde los criminales pueden andar libremente con La única condición de que no se salga de allí.
Bruce Wayne que está en contra de todo esto inicia una campaña para detenerlo, y mientras está en un mitin es arrestado por grupo de mercenarios de TYGER y es llevado a la ciudad de Arkham, con agilidad astucia y algo de artes marciales logra salir dónde lo tienen encerrado y contacta con Alfred y éste le manda un traje con diferentes gadgets. Para así de tener los planes que están tramando con esta prisión. En esta entrega de Batman es acompañado por catwoman que se alternará el personaje para ir realizando las misiones.
El Joker vuelve a participar en esta entrega dónde se encuentra moribundo debido a las toxinas inestables de titán. El Joker atrapa a Batman y lo inyecta con su sangre enferma, ahora Batman desesperado por salvarse busca un antídoto y esto lo llevara hasta mr freeze quién ha estado trabajando en una cura para estos efectos de titán. Pero freeze está bajo la custodia del pingüino. Así que después de vencer a pingüino y a todos sus secuaces Batman consigue hablar con mr freeze para pedirle la cura pero él le dice que es inestable porque le falta un componente Batman razóna y le dice que la sangre de ra's al ghul puede completar la cura. Así que después de buscar y luchar con ra's al ghul y su hija Talía en la ciudad maravilla consigue el componente restante y se lo lleva a mr freeze pero éste le hace un giro y rompe una de las dos antídotos y le dice que le dará el el otro a Batman si le ayuda a conseguir a su esposa Nora que está secuestrada por el Joker. Batman se niega y empieza a luchar con mr freeze y mientras ellos pelean Harley Quinn toma la cura y se la lleva el Joker. Así que después de llegar a un acuerdo, Batman promete rescatar a Nora. Cuando va a rescatar a Nora observa al Joker y ve que está aparentemente curado y mientras Batman y el Joker lucha Hugo strange aprovecha la oportunidad y activa el protocolo 10 que esto es acabar con toda la población penitenciaria de Arkham. Así que los mercenarios de TYGER ejecutan el protocolo, matando a todos los presos que encuentren su paso.
Así que Batman Ahora tiene que enfrentarse a múltiples cosas a la vez, pero cuando está luchando contra El Joker Hugo strange desde la torre maravilla lanza un ataque de misiles dónde sepulta al joker y a Batman. Batman y ra's al ghul logra escapar, inmediatamente El Joker contacta Batman y le revela que tiene talia y que la matará si no le lleva el antídoto, Así que Batman llega dónde está el Joker pero talia logra matarlo pero se dan cuenta de que es el metamorfo clayface. Así que mientras se distrae conversando, el verdadero joker aparece y mata a talia al ver que está sin salida destruye el teatro dónde están y cae cerca de la fosa de Lázaro. Batman la sepulta para que el Joker no pueda rejuvenecerse, luego Batman intenta salvar al Joker con el segundo antídoto pero este rompe el frasco y muere, luego Batman saca su cuerpo lo mete en el maletero de un carro y se retira.
Jugabilidad
Batman Arkham city incorpora una jugabilidad igual pero mejorada de su anterior entrega, ya que cuentas con elementos de infiltración y tácticas de ataque ademásde elementos puzle. Al empezar cuentas con los gadgets que obtuviste en arkham asylum pero más mejorados, Por ejemplo el secuenciador criptográfico ahora también puede rastrear señales de radio. También cuentas con bombas de humo que puedes utilizar para confundir a tus oponentes. Con el modo detective tienes una visión similar a rayos x donde puedes ver el esqueleto de tus adversarios, también pistas y localizar dónde se encuentran francotiradores.
En este juego puedes controlar a Batman como tú quieras, puedes optar por pasar de manera sigilosa y hacer ataques de manera silenciosa a los reclusos o simplemente pasarlo por alto, Aunque en ocasiones la misión obliga a Batman a combatir directamente. La ciudad está dividida por pandillas y Los seguidores del Joker y dos caras, Así que tienes que enfrentarte a ellos constantemente.
Además de Batman como ya dijimos cuentas con catwoman, un personaje secundario que tendrás que usar en ocasiones para completar las misiones, este personaje tiene su propia historia modos de peleas y gadgets, tales como acrobacias, y cuenta con sus uñas, látigo y boleadoras. también cuenta con un modo detective llamado modo ladrón aunque no obtienes información adicional.
Enemigos
a pesar de que en este segundo episodio aparezcan villanos de la entrega anterior, se añadieron otros nuevos como el pingüino, dos caras y señor frío.

Toma papel como uno de los villanos principales ya que sigue haciéndole la vida imposible a Batman.

Como la enferma y retorcida ayudante del Joker, repentinamente aparecerá en el juego para querer hacerte tirar la pantalla 😠

Como personaje nuevo aparece cuando atrapa catwoman y la quiere lanzar a un tanque con ácido.
Pingüino
También como villano nuevo, le harán la vida imposible a Bruce Wayne y sus matones a Batman en todo el resto del juego.
Ra's Al Ghul
También hace su aparición en esta entrega como el cerebro maestro detrás de todo.
Mr Freeze
también aparece como personaje nuevo donde alternará entre villano y mano amiga de Batman (Es decir le salva el trasero del Joker)
Aunque aparecen otros villanos como el alcalde sharp y el doctor Hugo strange y más, no son tan icónicos por eso para no alargar aún más el post los omitiré.
Gráficos y sonido
En cuanto a este tema Batman Arkham city no se queda atrás, ya que fue más allá y mejoró aún más los gráficos y el sonido que su anterior entrega dónde nos regalan una poderosa música de fondo los diálogos de los personajes las voces los sonidos como disparos, golpes, helicópteros, todos absolutamente todos son impecables. Definitivamente este juego tiene bien merecido su título.
Recepción y premios
en su momento el juego recibió unas altas, asombrosas y muy positivas críticas que lo llevaron a ser elegido el mejor juego del 2011, incluso fue catalogado como uno de los mejores juegos de todos los tiempos superando a icónicos títulos como: Portal 2, Killzone 3, Zelda Breath of the Wild, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, L.A. Noire, Uncharted 3: La traición de Drake y Gears of War 3.

Solamente puedo decir aplausos de pie para este videojuego, porque sigue el mismo hilo argumental de la primera entrega y además te pone nuevos retos que te pueden mantener entretenido mucho tiempo.
Otra cosa que puedo destacar Es que la compañía rocksteady studios lo hizo también en un corto tiempo ya que en 2900 salió la primera entrega y en 2011 salió la segunda entrega logrando incluso más éxito que su primera entrega, Así que los creadores de Batman Arkham city y Batman Arkham asylum tienen la receta perfecta para los juegos exitosos, darle a la gente algo que realmente quieren jugar.
Tambien, el que en esta entrega incluyeran un personaje secundario aleatorio con Batman fue una idea realmente grandiosa ya que puedes ver la historia desde un punto de vista de un antihéroe, ya que a catwoman no le interesa las personas ni la ciudad. realmente fue un detalle excelente el que añadieran a este personaje a este juego.
Para finalizar quiero decir qué me ha encantado mucho haber tenido el honor de jugarlo aunque no pude completarlo, fue para mí una grandiosa experiencia como todo fan de Batman.

Otra buena entrega de tu parte amigo... Muy buenas las capturas que muestras! Debo decir que tampoco lo he jugado y no es porque no quiera, si no, que no cuento con el equipo que tenga los requisitos recomendados para jugar títulos como este.
