Hello Everyone

I am here once again with another review. I hope everyone is doing well.

Today I am reviewing Limbo for the PS4. Limbo is a puzzle-platformer game developed by independent studio Playdead. The game is set in a depressing black-and-white world full of dark and disturbing characters and moments. You play as an unnamed boy who wakes up in a dark forest and travels through this macabre and horrifying world.

It's quite a bleak experience the game has a very muted soundtrack and also the black and white visuals make the overall atmosphere feel quite disturbing. The basic gameplay is a platform based on some tricky puzzles. You have three abilities run, jump, and grab. There isn't really combat per se but you do have confrontations with creatures where you have to use your wits and the environment to progress. The game is really well crafted and it always makes you think the puzzles start off quite simple but the further you go they can become fiendishly tricky but they're never so hard that you won't eventually figure it out but it's the way the game makes you feel that's really something worth pointing out. The whole atmosphere of the game world really makes you feel uneasy it's colorless and dark and full of horrible things and grim moments like when you get a spike to the death or crushed by boulders the death scenes, in particular, they're just very horrific and disturbing.

The game atmosphere is thick and rich you really feel a sense of immersion in this terrifying black and white nightmare so I have to congratulate the art team who works on this because they've really captured some sort of essence of something unique here. The graphics are excellent they are quite simple and minimalist but they suit the black-and-white film noir style. It's dark, it's foreboding the lighting and the shadows they're all very atmospheric. It's very mysterious and strange but has such a great style to it and it really adds to the overall back to the game. The game has a sensational score the music is very soft and very muted with dark ambient undertones that really set the scene for the horrifying journey you go on in Limbo.

The sound effects are solid and the overall audio is just really really well done. The game has a really strong atmosphere, the music is excellent, the graphics are well done and the overall art style is top-notch. The game is interesting as some genuinely challenging puzzles. But the game is quite short and you'll probably finish it in a couple of days. The mood in this games is second to none these are horror games don't be mistaken but also don't be mistaken into thinking that you will be jumping out of your seats laying horrible creatures. Limbo is true horror bleak, distressing, unknowable, confusing, crushing horror just watching footage of the game out of context with no direct input it's hard to convey how they really make you feel. so be warned in order to attempt to explain this I'm gonna spoil one small moment from limbo after a narrow escape from a huge pursuing spider you happen across another child the only other person you've seen so far as you approach them they move slightly there's a sense of elation almost comforts something that isn't trying to kill you something that is just as vulnerable and alone as you another child but just as you reach them the ground beneath you collapses and you fall into a pit the child doesn't follow the noose around their neck hangs them above you and you are left to wonder whether this was an inevitability or whether indirectly or not they died because of you child. I love horror most of my time is taken up by horror films and games and as such I have an ever-increasing threshold for these sorts of things with that said limbo Specifically in this moment got me I had to stop playing for the moments.

Limbo is an excellent game with a richly dark and intense experience. It has an immersive game world that all feels very well put together. The gameplay is challenging and enjoyable and quite horrifying at times. Overall, it's a really good indie game that you should check out. It's a very good game, very cheap worth picking up I think you can get it on Android devices as well. so do check it I am pretty sure you will enjoy it.
