House Flipper: Laser tag in a bunker [Let's Play Games #42]

in Hive Gaming2 years ago (edited)

Heyaaa everyone! 🛠

I know that in my previous post we got to enjoy a less hard-working job where all we did was to create a 2nd bathroom in a house and paint some walls, but this time we will stay in front of perhaps the most challenging job from House Flipper, so grab your popcorn and scroll down to see a bunker being turned into a really nice place!

There were quite a few emails in my inbox to pick from but the one that grabbed my attention was this entitled Laser tag in a bunker which seemed like the most fun activity out of these available.

So there was this guy called Alex that together with his friends he planned to open up a Laser Tag center in a bunker, and there was needed some massive cleaning since it was an abandoned place. But if you have ever been to Laser Tag or Escape Rooms, I'm sure you know how fun everything is and that it's definitely worth an investment like this.

First impression

As soon as I arrived at the place that I was supposed to take care of, let me say that it was a whole disaster and mess out there.
I was even scared to find out how the inside looks like if on the outside it was so much chaos and things to work on!

Though, as I always like looking out for the good part in everything, taking care of this job came with two more new activities that I learned to do in the game which will save a lot of time later on.

Removing debris piles

The first one was to use a shovel for removing the debris piles that I've never seen so far in House Flipper but which is definitely something interesting, no matter how much dust you end up breathing in the game, lol.

Using flamethrower

And the 2nd thing I learned was how to use a flamethrower that works depending on how much fuel it has in it and which it's being consumed pretty fast but it's not too expensive to buy a new barrel.

This one is basically a faster way to get rid of the trash and anything that normally would take you a lot of time to clean, but which also comes with the risk of burning goods, for example, furniture or the doors if they are made of wood and not of metal as they were at the bunker.

AFTER cleaning the outisde

However, after burning the trash, I burned all the grass from the outside which seemed being way too big and not so welcoming for future participants to the Laser Tag center.

But as much time this new skill earned helped me save doing the outside cleaning, as much I believe that this could work for the outside parts of a building and it's not so safe to use it inside.

Of course, there shouldn't be any problem using the flamethrower to clean the inside of the bunker too because there is just metal and brick, but for my peace that I won't end up starting a fire into a place that it's supposed to become a successful business, I decided to keep this as I was used to, namely, to clean everything by hand.

BEFORE cleaning

The doors opened got me on the main corridor of the bunker which I cleaned fast and did some repairs for the electric panel and then stepped on the first room which was measuring 35 squared meters and where I figured out I am going to have a lot of work to do, also being one of the largest rooms I stepped in this game.

Of course, there were the usual tasks you will see in every room such as removing the trash and cleaning the dirt from the ground and walls, but there were also some special requirements where I was supposed to sell some items and buy some others instead.

AFTER cleaning

After purchasing some of the items required, it turned out that this should be some sort of a dining room or kitchen with lots of tables and chairs where the participants to the Laser Tag center could take a break or enjoy some tasty food before the whole fun would start.

As always, there were just some of the things requested, such as the furniture, sofa and tables, but as I never like leaving things as the game is asking me to, because it simply looks like something is missing, I invested a few more bucks from my wallet to make this look like everything is complete and you can find there anything you need.

I don't know what are your thoughts on this but I really like how everything turned out. Maybe I should have been pushed this a little bit further and add some rugs too. 😄

BEFORE & AFTER cleaning

The next 7-8 rooms have gone in a pretty similar way where the only request was to clean the dirt and remove the trash, but where I also considered arranging a bit the barrels and boxes.

I didn't go further to these because all these rooms are going to be the main trail for the Laser Tag activity where each barrel will be placed in a specific position so people can hide after these and test their shooting skill.

Unfortunately, while in the first room we had some sort of light, for all these chambers I had to keep my flashlight turned on due to the lack of visibility which was making everything a lot more challenging.

If there was something that I would be enjoying seeing in these rooms, was some sort of neons or phosphorescent details that would bring an interesting touch for the participants, but which I couldn't find in the store.

Anyway, when I was leaving in the capital of my home country, I used to hear about a lot of opportunities to go to Laser Tag or Escape Rooms but for some reason, I've never been there. Such a shame since I love shooting games and I always remember to myself that I should test my skills in real life too! 😎

BEFORE cleaning

However, as soon as I finished cleaning up the 7-8 rooms with barrels and boxes, I got into another chamber that was almost double the first one which I thought it's the largest one met in this game so far. I was wrong! 😜

AFTER cleaning

Just like in the previous situation, along with the usual cleaning, there were some more things that needed to be purchased, where, this time, I arranged an "after the Laser Tag activity" place where the participants can rest, take some pictures with real weapons, or simply wait to see if they have beaten the highest score from the list.

I always loved the way black goes along with red but since the first room had the sofa and chairs with black, I thought that I should switch everything to red this time for a more encouraging feeling that the participants did a great job while they were on the battlefronts. 🔫

BEFORE & AFTER cleaning

And just like any place that respects itself and its clients, along with so many rooms, we couldn't miss the chance to also save the smallest room and turn it into a bathroom, especially since this kind of games usually take more than an hour.

I have no idea how I forgot to add a mirror here but I will make sure to open up the game and check if somehow I can reload the job and make this look perfect! 🙃

BEFORE cleaning

As I first mentioned, I will maintain my idea that this is the biggest and most challenging job taken in House Flipper with a lot of cleaning and renovations needed to be done in the over 10 rooms available, but the thing I really liked is the way the bunker was created in a square shape but where the inside part of it it's empty and it looks like an inner county yard.

Of course, I had no hopes to find this already cleaned but at least there was not too much trash compared with the rest of the bunker.

I don't know what this was supposed to be or what its role is, but it made me think seriously that I should put my hands on the Garden DLC of the game which will allow me to renovate the outside of the buildings too, like adding chairs, benches, trees, flowers, and so on.

This is the most appropriate place where we can get some benches or sofas for the outside, a minibar and some umbrellas to stay away from the sun during the summer. I'm sure the people who will get to the Laser Tag center will enjoy such a location especially if they are also smoking and inside of the bunker it would be a really bad idea to do it amongst so many guns and barrels, lol.

Job done!

A more challenging one than these played so far where I actually needed some good hours to finish all the work that was summed in a few pictures and sentences in a post.

In reality, I split this job in 3 days of gaming because there was just so much work to be done which it consumes a lot of time from your real life but I'm happy that it turned out as a successful job where also the money earned was well deserved and the biggest amount collected so far! 🤑

This game is definitely great, the way everything looks; both the before with everything disastrous and then to see everything impeccable is very satisfying.

That's what I'm here for!

There was even a show on TV with some guys doing this thing in real life. The profit they were getting at the end was pure awesomeness! I think I would enjoy having a similar job in real life too as I do believe in big changes and that you can always create something nice no matter that it stars from disaster and chaos!

Thanks for stopping by!

I didn't know they had done it in real life. I know of similar programs like "obsessive compulsive cleaners", I remember seeing it once. Sure, big changes exist, doing that in real life is a challenge but as you say it doesn't matter if it's a complete mess, you can bring out the potential it has and get the good stuff with excellent results. 🤗

Never heard of that one but this I'm talking about was called "Zombie House Flipping" and it was running on History TV. Every house these guys were purchasing turned out as a project for almost one year to do all the renovation and then they would sell it with a new price and looking really nice. The profit they were scoring was literally leaving you speechless haha

I understand, incredible, of course all that effort must be well rewarded, I imagine the beautiful houses that were left afterwards.

Absolutely!

Just now with my uncle, I'm doing something similar cleaning the yard of my grandmother's house, we are quite advanced. Too bad I don't have a picture of the before, but all that was full of grass.

Burning trash? What about the in game enviroment? It's pretty gnarly the game gives ya a flamethrower!

Yeah. Well, I'm just presenting the in-game skills, lol, not saying if they are good or bad in reality. Just keeping this fun.
