Ubisoft has always been a company to "jump" on the next big thing and then fall flat on their face.
When it comes to AI in gaming, I can see how it can be used to better the game, but that's mostly on the modding side of things. Modders being able to create whole new xpacs using AI to fully voice it would be amazing. But as you said companies like ubi, who only care about their bottom line, will just be using it as tool to cut costs.
