Marvel Avengers First Mission - I want to be an Avenger.

In this century, it'd be hard to find someone who doesn't like or know about the Avengers. Yeah, I'm talking about Marvel's Avengers and I'm a big fan of their movie franchise. Now that I started playing the official avengers game where I can play as those super heroes, I can't help but talking about it.

I recently started playing Marvel Avengers in my PC in the highest graphics setting and I'm enjoying this game and its story. It's story is a bit different than what we saw in the movies and I like the new story not because its greater than the movie story but because I can get attached to a whole new story. We have Ms Marvel in this game as a very important character and this game was published even before Ms Marvel series were broadcasted but I'm playing this after I watched the Ms Marvel series so I understand a little bit about her power and I know her origin story so it helps to connect with the story.

About the game: Its an action-adventure, beat 'em up game developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix Europe at 4 September 2020 for PS4, Stadia, Windows, Xbox One and later it was published for PS5, Xbox Series X/S at 18 March 2021. It has two modes for playing- single player and multiplayer.

In-game Menu:

We can show five avengers- Black Widow, Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor at the background of the in-game menu where they stands still at the Chimera.

The in-game menu shows four options below as 1. Campaign, 2. Avengers Initiative, 3. Settings, 4. Quit Game.
And we can see three more options above as 1.Play, 2. News, 3. Marketplace above and there we can see something showing the username of the player at the bottom left which should be changed but I couldn't find the option to change it.

The Campaign is the single player story which is the narrative-focused campaign experience.
Avengers initiative is actually allows for playing with others in multiplayer missions and activities.
The settings is for adjusting various gameplay and visual options.
And the quit game is for ....... haha.

The Avengers Initiative may give spoilers so its better to finish the campaign mode first and I'm going with that.

I got the option to select difficulty and there were four options as easy, normal, hard and brutal. Till hard is normal for other games but Brutal seems something new to me.
Easy is for those interested in experiencing the story with little challenge.
Normal is for those who like a balanced combat experience that may occasionally test their might.
Hard is for those unafraid to take on a greater challenge, trusting their skill to overcome any danger.
Brutal is for those looking to prove their worth by facing a considerable challenge.

As a normal player, I chose normal mode to get a balanced combat experience that may occasionally test my might.

Yeah the famous marvel logo as we see in every marvel movie or animation or game or maybe everywhere.

There was a narrator talking about the avengers while I could see some great pictures of them. And I think the narrator was Kamala Khan who is known better as Ms Marvel.

Then there were more great pictures of the avengers.

Black Widow

Ms Marvel

All of them in one frame.

Then the story began with the first mission called I want to be an Avenger.

The first scene shows a quinjet flying towards the A-Day stage with some peoples.

There is Kamala Khan as a young kid before she got her power watching the big bridge from the window of the quinjet.

And there was her father Yusuf with her and they were talking about the Golden Gate Bridge.

There's the Avengers tower intact and looks nice.

And the Chimera was ready to rock right beside the A-Day celebration stage.

And its time for the quinjet to land.

I was Kamala and I was about to check at the Avenger's Day front desk for further instruction.

There were dummies of the Avengers on the way to the front desk and they looked cool and so alive.

After reaching the front desk, the lady there advised me to collect five comic books to get access to the VIP balcony.

The first and nearest place to get a comic book was about shooting enemy holograms.

While ignoring civilian holograms and it looked like a task of Black Widow.

And yeah I've got a comic book of Black Widow from that shooting game.

Then I looked forward to get the rest of the comic books and there was this boy asking me to trade a comic book with him if I get one in double so that he'll finish the set.
So now I had a task to find the duplicate comic along with three more comics.

And I've found a room based on Iron Man where there was a big hologram of Iron Mans suit and as soon as I interacted there it said, "I am Ironman".

And there were some repulsive gloves probably for the fans to take and Kamala there was checking one of them and she was so surprised seeing them and a big surprise came over right after that.

Thor came over and was walking as if Kamala was invisible to him.
Actually Kamala was very small so Thor was not seeing her and that's what the mighty Thor said.

While Kamala was talking about the impulsive gloves, Thor called for his Mjölnir and said that its a weapon that needs no improvement.

Then after a prep talk, Thor left and Kamala was so happy to meet THE God of Thunder.

Then I went to another room that was based on Captain America and there were no comics left for her so she got sad and then she was surprised looking at the Captain America's original WWII shield.

Then two kids came over and was bullying Kamala and after thinking for a moment, Kamala fought back with her brave words and the kids left.

And there was Captain America with the comic that Kamal was looking for and it was a gift from THE Captain America. Kamala was more surprised knowing that Captain America knows her cause he read a book written by Kamala.

And suddenly there came Black Widow looking for Captain America and Kamala got see THE Black Widow from close as well. Captain America was asking Black Widow if she's seen Thor and then Kamala said she just saw Thor who was over at the Stark Booth.

After asking who Kamala is, Captain America introduced Kamala to Black Widow and looked like she recognize Kamala as well cause she likes her story as well.

Then I got one more Captain America comics from a free comics booth which can be traded with the kid who asked me to trade with his comic.

And I saw a scientist called Tarleton there who was going to be a big villain for the marvel universe called MODOK. Tarleton was talking to his secretary Monica and the conversation was about the Terrigen and Tarleton was not happy about it but Monica was convincing him.

Then Bruce came over and said he was getting strange readings off of the reactor and then he was talking to Tarleton and said Tarleton was right and maybe they shouldn't have put this on public display so soon.

Then they left that place and a security guard came over and Kamala what she was doing there and asked her to leave that place.

Then I've found that kid with the duplicate comic and I traded the Captain America comic that I got double.

And then there was a game for lifting Thor's hammer although it shouldn't be the real one as Thor has that with him and besides no one could lift the original hammer an inch. After trying to lift the hammer, I moved it a little bit and I got a comic.

One more comic to go.

There was the Hulk Smash game from where I got the last comic for smashing.
Then I was heading towards he VIP balcony as I got all the comics by now.

I saw Nick Fury on the way doing an interview to a news channel.

Then Kamala started recording video of Nick Fury with much joy and was saying herself that Bruno is never going to believe it. And that name reminded me of Bruno from Ms Marvel series.
And Kamala touched a glass container there that contained something magical which was coming towards her hand and this is the thing that will give Kamala her power.

Then I got the VIP Access and entered the VIP balcony.
After giving a little speech, Captain America gave the stage to Tarleton and Tarleton started talking about their works.

And there was Iron Man himself right beside Kamala and flew from there all the way to the stage.

Iron Man didn't forget to give the landing pose and peoples were cheering with much joy.

And suddenly there was a big explosion on the Golden Gate Bridge.
Yousuf, the father of Kamala understood something was wrong so he was taking Kamala out of there.

And the Avengers united together to face what's on the fate now.
And that's the end of this mission I want to be an Avenger.

It looks like a fantastic one.
I'm a great fan of the Avengers franchise and to be honest, I always thought about playing a game like this from an early age.

Well described the mission but it'd be good if you'd show video gameplay as well.

Wow I've never heard of this game and it looks quite interesting. Normally games for these kinds of movies are very bad, but this one looks like it could be given a chance. The graphics are nice, it has a story.

It is an interesting game and I agree that most of the games inspired by a movie isn't good but I guess this one is different and special. Maybe the story will not surprise comic readers but I liked the story as it looks totally new to me as I don't read comics.

You should try it and the graphics are nice really but there's a problem with the beards of the characters, they looks fake and detached but that can be a problem with my PC as well.

Oh man, visually it looks amazing. I plan to try it at some point, but I'll wait to upgrade my graphics to play it as much as possible and enjoy it more haha 😅.
