In times of crisis is when the best opportunities arise, so in this crypto winter only those projects that continue to work with conviction in their vision are the most suitable to bet on them with the confidence that if in dark times they have the tenacity to move forward, when the best times come they will help us to reap what with effort has been planted. This is the case of Rising Star, which despite the difficulties, has continued the development of the game, even when it only started as a hobby to pass the time during the pandemic and the confinement inside our homes.

The latest features of the game prove it, especially the most recent one, the Raves, a concept taken from those parties that are held illegally and sometimes you don't even know when they end. This new Rising Star expansion allows us to talk about the beginnings of the creation of a metaverse within this game, since as we will shortly review it is a new functionality for some of the cards we collect, which gives them a greater utility to them, which is phenomenal.

The first thing I'd like to point out is that this new feature was introduced during this year's Hive Fest, which ran from September 15-18. In this video, from time and minutes 5:58 to 6:18, we have the complete presentation made by the founder of the game, Jux, who after making a brief review about the various game modes, surprised us with a new one, the one that stars this post: The Raves.

As we have said, it brings to the game the same concept of the Raves of real life, so, among other things, music, dancing and... the cops who arrest the attendees cannot be missing. But who are they? Well, those who can participate in these parties are the fans that we have the FA Cards of our collection, here is where we see a concrete application of the missions of the Promote Fan Club and the Record Signing, since the first ones open us access to those of the second group, with which we acquire in a totally random way the FA Cards.

For this reason, for this testing period we are being asked to send as many FA Cards as possible, in order to confirm that everything is going well, since the soul of the parties are their attendees. In the game there are 4 Raves (blue, yellow, red and green) all have the same duration, which at this time is 1 to 3 days randomly, the Rave that ends with more attendees will be the winner.

As you can deduce, not everything will be as simple as that, because there are also the cards RV1 Police Raid and RV2 Hoax Call. The first one deducts (arrests) a certain percentage of fans attending the Rave, this percentage is determined by the fact of whether the police have been sent to other Raves or not. The second is a false call to the policemen so that if they come to our Raves they are diverted. Therefore, they are two cards that oppose each other, because, while the RV1 deduct fans, the RV2 can replenish them again, since it is as if we were sending the patrols elsewhere.

Now, this is where the strategies and the creation of teams begin to emerge, because if in the Rave where I am participating they sent me 2 RV1 and I only have 1 RV2 card, I would have to look for support in another person who has another RV2 card. Something that is important to keep in mind is that these two cards have not yet been designed, so in this testing period we are using instead the FanBoost1 and Skillboost1 respectively.

To participate in the testing of this new game mode just go to the Rising Star discord and look for the respective room, #raves-testing, in the posted messages you will find the instructions to follow which in summary are:

Enter the testing link.
Send your ravers (FA Cards from your collection) to the Rave of your choice. For this you must think very well what you want to do because once you have chosen a Rave you will not be able to change it until the Rave is finished.
If you have some FanBoost or Skillboost cards you can use them as if they were RV1 and RV2 by selecting the patrol icon in the upper left corner and then marking the ones you want to send and where you want to send them. Be careful not to send a police raid to your own Rave, ha, ha, ha, ha, it has already happened to some of us.

This is basically what we should do in this testing period, although some things worth keeping in mind are that the rewards that will be available when the game is launched will not be in Starbits and that the sooner we join the winning Rave the more earnings we will have.

On the other hand, there will also be a special bonus in the rewards if we have a card(s) that will be randomly set in each Rave as well as a special pool for the VIP Ravers, a role that we get by having a certain amount of Backstage Pass cards and at the same time being part of the top 3 of the holders of this card in the Rave we have chosen.

Rising Star: Mis primeras experiencias con los Raves

En los momentos de crisis es cuando surgen las mejores oportunidades, por lo que en este cripto invierno solo aquellos proyectos que sigan trabajando con convicción en su visión son los más indicados para apostar por ellos con la confianza de que si en tiempos oscuros tienen el tesón de seguir adelante, cuando vengan los mejores nos ayudarán a cosechar lo que con esfuerzo se haya plantado. Este es el caso de Rising Star, el cual a pesar de las dificultades, ha seguido el desarrollo del juego, incluso cuando solo empezó como un hobby para pasar el tiempo durante la pandemia y el confinamiento dentro de nuestras casas.

Las últimas características del juego así lo demuestra, de manera especial, la más reciente, los Raves, concepto tomado de esas fiestas que de manera ilegal se realizan y a veces ni siquiera se sabe cuándo terminan. Esta nueva expansión de Rising Star nos permite ya hablar de los comienzos de la creación de un metaverso dentro de este juego, ya que como en breve reseñaremos se trata de una nueva funcionalidad para algunas de las cartas que coleccionamos, lo cual les da una mayor utilidad a las mismas, lo cual resulta fenomenal.

Lo primero que me gustaría destacar es que esta nueva función fue presentada durante el Hive Fest del año en curso, que se desarrolló entre el 15 al 18 de septiembre. En este video, desde la hora y minutos 5:58 hasta las 6:18, tenemos la presentación completa hecha por el fundador del juego, Jux, que luego de hacer un breve repaso sobre las diversas modalidades del juego, nos sorprendió con una nueva, la que protagoniza este post: Los Raves.

Como hemos dicho, trae al juego el mismo concepto de los Raves de la vida real, por lo que, no puede faltar, entre otras cosas, la música, el baile y… los policías que arrestan a los asistentes. Pero, ¿Quiénes son estos? Pues los que pueden participar en estas fiestas son los fans que poseemos de las FA Cards de nuestra colección, aquí es donde vemos una aplicación concreta de las misiones de la Promote Fan Club y de las Record Signing, ya que las primeras nos abren el acceso a las del segundo grupo, con las que adquirimos de manera totalmente aleatoria las FA Cards.

Por esta razón, para este periodo de testing lo que en primer lugar se nos está pidiendo es enviar la mayor cantidad posible que podamos de FA Cards, para de esta manera confirmar que todo marche correctamente, pues el alma de las fiestas son sus asistentes. En el juego existen 4 Raves (blue, yellow, red and green) todas tienen la misma duración, que en este momento es de 1 a 3 días de manera random, la Rave que termine con más asistentes será la ganadora.

Como podrán deducir no todo será así de simple, pues, también existen las cartas RV1 Police Raid y la RV2 Hoax Call. La primera deduce (arresta) cierto porcentaje de fans asistentes a la Rave, dicho porcentaje viene determinado por el hecho de si se han enviado policías a otras Raves o no. La segunda es una llamada falsa a los policías para que si llegan a venir a nuestra Raves se desvíen. Por ello, son dos cartas que se contraponen entre sí, pues, mientras la RV1 deducen fans, la RV2 los puede volver a reponer, ya que es como si mandáramos a las patrullas a otro lado.

Ahora bien, aquí es donde empiezan a surgir las estrategias y la creación de equipos, porque si en la Rave donde estoy participando me enviaron 2 RV1 y solo tengo 1 carta RV2 tendría que buscar apoyo en otra persona que tenga otra carta RV2. Algo que es importante tener en cuenta es que aún todavía no se han diseñado estas dos cartas, por lo que en este periodo de testing estamos usando en su lugar la FanBoost1 y la Skillboost1 respectivamente.

Para participar del testing de esta nueva modalidad de juego solo tienes que dirigirte al discord de Rising Star y buscar la habitación respectiva, #raves-testing, en los mensajes fijados encontrarás las instrucciones a seguir que en resumen son:

Entrar al link de testing.
Enviar tus ravers (Cartas FA de tu colección) al Rave de tu preferencia. Para esto debes pensar muy bien lo que quieres hacer porque una vez elegido un Rave no lo podrás cambiar hasta no termine el mismo.
Si tienes algunas tarjetas FanBoost o Skillboost puedes usarlas como si fueran las RV1 y RV2 seleccionando el ícono de la patrulla en la esquina superior izquierda y luego marcando las que quieras enviar y a dónde desees. Cuidado con no enviar a tu misma Rave una redada de policías, ja, ja, ja, ya nos ha pasado a algunos.

Esto es básicamente lo que debemos hacer en este periodo de testing, aunque algunas cosas que vale la pena que tengamos en cuenta son que las recompensas que habrá cuando el juego se lance no serán en Starbits y que mientras más pronto nos unamos a la Rave ganadora más ganancias tendremos.

Por otra parte, también habrá un bonus especial en las recompensas si tenemos una(s) carta(s) que de manera random será establecida en cada Rave así como un pool especial para los Ravers VIP, rol que obtenemos al tener cierta cantidad de cartas Backstage Pass y al mismo tiempo formar parte del top 3 de los holders de esta carta en el Rave que hayamos elegido.
