Resident Evil 3 has been remaked and released for 21 years: original version was published in 1999.
After I played during 3 days, It's a shame to be relased on public. I didn't play original version so I'll explain my thoughts with Resident Evil 2 (2019).
First, it has shorter amount of playing time than Resident Evil 2, making exploration shrink. RE2 has larger areas and ways to search items and to make more enemies, which has players more tightened and thought. But, RE3 has smaller areas and lots of one ways; making players' options narrow. If you play this game, you will find only speedrunner yourself.
Finally, it has fewer other contents than Resident Evil 2. RE2 has not only a lot of extra modes but also challenges with RE.NET, which makes player more entertaining. However, RE3 has pratical content "Shop", which is expandable.
According to most of the experienced, it is like a part of Resident Evil 2; I couldn't agree more. If you are one of speedrunners, you may enjoy RE3. Otherwise please considerate before buying.
