The beauty of Black Desert - Zooming in on Grana

in Hive Gaming3 years ago (edited)

Black Desert Online, it's still a beautiful game. Today, I'm zooming in on Grana, literally!

Black Desert Online Grana

After a long break from Black Desert Online, I've recently returned to the MMO game. While some games can be pretty intense, all the time, Black Desert lets you pick your own intensity. You can go actively searching for combat and quests to do, but you can also relax a little and work on your life skills.

It's life skills bonus exp event right now, so I've been working on increasing my life skills on all of my characters. Not least of all for the extra Life Fame, which gives you free silver daily (as long as you log in on that day). The higher your combined characters life skills, the more silver you get. Each life skill has to be atleast Professional 1 to count.

I've been lazily collecting water and heating it for easy Gathering and Processing exp and I've also been fishing. I started off in Velia, but got a little bored there. The fish you catch in that town don't sell for much either, so I decided to take my fishing elsewhere. I rode to Grana, where the trade manager is really close by water, making it an easy place to fish! Aside from that, you can sell your higher grade fish to the imperial fishing delivery lady, earning your a little extra silver for your trouble.

While fishing, my energy fills up pretty quickly, so I do some gathering inbetween. In and around Grana, you'll find plenty of flowers to gather. While inside the city, if you hop down into the water, you'll find some more herbs and flowers.

That's where I decided to zoom in on the beauties in this game! These screenshots are all from in and around Grana's canal system. There's plenty of hidden, beautiful details to be found.

I hope you like the little tour!

hey plafulfoodie,

Oh wait, first I got to comment on the post I forgot... :D

free silver daily

There is no chance that you are talking about actual physical Silver you earn for playing the game... or is there?

I wanted to draw your attention to the proofofbrain tag. Nowadays there are plenty of tags that you can just use without restrictions to earn extra coins. Some have restrictions though, proof of brain not really so far. Ofc brainy posts are more welcome, but I think some of your nerdy content might be a good fit.

We have just had a conflict with our Tzar of Midwits, who I guess took the name a little too literally and there is a lack of people who can guide the young community.

It seems you haven't heard of coins by now, here you can see yours

Hi! No, no actual Silver, just ingame cash. Would have been nice!

Oh, thanks so much for the information! I should definitely look into some of those tags huh!
I'm still wrapping my mind around Hive being copied from Steemit and all of the different communities. There's so many new things to learn. It seems Hive is much more than Steemit was back when I was active there. Very exciting, but also very confusing :D

haha, yeah it sure is. I came back myself from a 2.5 year hiatus a few months ago. I still dont get it all with the communities and stuff, I feel from a user standpoint this is more of a downgrade because it is just so confusing.

Anyways, if you have any questions feel free to ask! We also have games now btw, none of them really great but some are decent like Splinterlands.

Yeah, it is quite confusing. On the other hand, if you're willing to put in the time and energy, it seems like there are lots of opportunities to take advantage of. More than before.

Ha, is that the steem monsters thing from before? Looks like it... I'll check it out!

I'm thinking of delegating some of my hive power, but I'm not exactly sure who to delegate it to. Should be a good, honest project. Maybe I'll just have to check out comments untill I find a nice one.
I like manually curating from time to time, but I don't have all the time (or energy) in the world for it, so delegation seems like a good way to give and get a little extra for my voting power.

On hive I vote myself, but on Steem I delegated to @starthilfe which is an account that supports the German community.

I don't really know a good one to delegate to of the top of my head, BroFi maybe? I think it is best for you to look and ask around, there are a lot of projects out there. Good luck finding one!

BDO is a great game. I love the whole node system, the life skills and the crafting. I had a lot of fun just running around trying to maximize my money earning potential. I barely fought any enemies and only did a couple of world bosses. I remember keeping my PC on constantly to AFK fish and other things. This was back when I rented and didn't have to pay extra for electricity. It was great.

It really is a beautiful game. I was amazed with the visuals this game has. I haven't played it in years now but downloaded it when I upgraded my PC last time just to run around for a while to see how it looked with upgraded graphics. Maybe I should do the same when I get my new PC parts next week.

Yeah, I love BDO! It is a little overwhelming if you want to do it all, but you really don't have to. I enjoy the life skills and sometimes do some questing and mob farming, but like you, I barely fight enemies or bosses. Honestly, the only time I did the world bosses was when my husband wanted to and I could just tag along on the back of his horse.

It's such a fun game to come back to!
