I Created A New Let's Play Gaming Channel - Pusen Plays

in Hive Gaming10 months ago

Starting a new gaming channel on YouTube when I already have one with 2,500 subscribers may seem weird, I know. Why turn my focus to a second channel when I already have one that's doing well and still growing? Let me explain.

The reason I started this second channel is basically just to upload the content that I'm already recording and will later be edited into videos for my main channel. I'm already recording most of my videos (not all) as commented gameplay so I thought I might as well snip it up into chunks and upload it as classic let's play episodes. I decided to do this on a new channel instead of littering my existing channel with tons of let's play episodes that my audience doesn't care for.

This new channel will get very little attention from me. Each video will be uploaded and forgotten. My main focus will always be on creating content for the main channel. The videos I upload here will for the most part be unedited and I won't be spending any substantial length of time creating thumbnails or working on my descriptions, titles or keywords. Because of this each video I upload shouldn't take much more than 5-10 minutes more out of my day. A worthy sacrifice if this channel sees any kind of growth down the line.

I did a very simple re-brand of all my existing peripherals by simply changing the color of the backgrounds. Just so that the two channels don't get mixed up but are still recognizable.

Expectations

My expectations for this channel are extremely low. For my first channel I put in a lot of effort researching keywords and how to make engaging videos with a focus on growth. By doing so I managed to get the channel monetized in a little under four months. I won't be doing any of that for this channel. It will all be low effort and for that reason I don't really expect this channel to see any growth. I'd be surprised if my videos get even 10 views on average.

However, if I'm able to reach the goal of 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours somewhere down the line, even if it's years from now, it will be a massive victory. It means I can maximize every single second of the content I create for my main channel by having it monetized. I can hope but I will never expect.

Project Zomboid

My first few videos on this channel will be from Project Zomboid. This is a game I bought 11 years ago but never played. I've been wanting to get into it for a while and maybe create some content for my main channel. I will be uploading the commented gameplay I record to this channel while I work my way through the game and get enough content to edit into a proper video for my main channel. The game is quite popular so I'm hoping it's another game that can do something good for my channel.

The premiere episode can be seen below. Link to the channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJIw-zgGCfUSoCy7hbzKiOA

That’s a great idea to have a second channel I wish you the best, growing another channel is a tough choice and lots of effort, time is needed. You are quite capable and strong to carry this platform.

I hope your journey on second channel is gonna be smoother because you are already have experience. I really love to watch your videos so I am gonna subscribe everywhere 😅 you can just say that I have become a fan of your contents because you really deserve all of these support and you know it too!

Have a great day💖

Thank you for the kind words. Luckily I'm already putting down most of the ground work for my main channel so it won't exhaust me to try and grow a second channel.

Interesting, overall a good idea. Something I might consider if I had a bigger YouTube following. Being too general with content can cost followers, I've done this on twitch a bit but need to really dig in to get some acceptable content up for YouTube. Very cool to see the growth my guy. Cheers, looking forward to the future

Looking forward to seeing what you are going to produce for YouTube. Hit me up anytime if you need any pointers in terms of getting reach.

I most certainly will. I'm just traveling atm, I intend to get more serious upon my return and get some YouTube content up. I will be hitting you up as I'm rather nooby with a lot of the finer points. I genuinely appreciate it and will take you up on that. Hope you're doing good mang.

Good luck with the new channel. I'm now the 3rd subscriber of this channel, yay.

Cheers and thanks!

Ooh. Definitely something I'd too if I were to set up my YouTube channels! Already taking some baby steps by separating @arcgspy from @arcmilla!

Creating separate accounts for different kinds of content can be a good idea for sure. It's also a nice way of branching out and reaching a new audience. Also just noticed I wasn't following you. Had to change that.

True that. And thanks for the follow! Nothing much is going on with this account yet but I already have plans on putting out gaming and Web3 content on here. Seeing you and the rest of the Hive Gaming community put up interesting content has been making me hopeful for the coming days! Cheers. :)

Good luck with the new channel dude. I like the style you have used in the banner, the colour and lettering are pleasing to the eye.

Cheers! I decided to just keep it simple and in line with my main channel.

Subscribed! Eager to see what great content you can pump out.

I wish you all the best with this new channel

Hello pusen

I love this kind of Finding Way Out games. I played a few of them. Nice to see you playing it.

Best wishes for the new channel.

Cheers! I'm not sure what you mean by Finding Way Out games but good to know you love them.

I'll need to begin to watch your channel videos over and over again
I wish to learn how to play some games...

The best way to learn is by playing yourself if you ever get the chance.

Congratulations on your new channel, my friend. I hope this channel will be much more successful than you expect. The idea of a side channel where you don't spend as much time as your main channel sounds great. Just uploading without having to deal with editing. Good luck!
