Priest Simulator es un videojuego realista del género life simulator desarrollado por el estudio polaco Asmodev el 7 de enero del 2020, únicamente para Microsoft Windows; un oferta atípica y politicamente incorrecta, que retrata con exageración e ironía el desfase generacional de los tópicos eclesiásticos.
En esta propuesta argumental, Asmodev toma como influencia el folclore europeo para desarrollar la "historia"; ambientándola en un modesto pueblo en donde el jugador encargará a un hombre (consagrado a la voluntad divina de dios) que deberá enfrentarse a las fuerzas oscuras de satanás, mientras en paralelo realiza las tareas comunes de un clérigo. — Un narrativa que, sin ánimos de ser superior a la de las demás propuestas independientes, logra innovar dentro de un género saturado.
Priest Simulator is a realistic video game of the life simulators genre, developed by the Polish studio Asmodev on January 7, 2020, only for Microsoft Windows; an atypical and politically incorrect offer, which portrays the generation gap in ecclesiastical matters with exaggeration and irony.
In this plot proposal, Asmodev inspired by European folklore to develop the "story"; placing it in a modest village where the player will control a man (consecrated to the divine will of God) who will have to face the dark forces of Satan, while in parallel he performs the common tasks of a cleric. — A narrative that, without claiming to be superior to the other independent proposals, manages to innovate within a saturated genre.
Como era de esperarse, Priest Simulator ofrece una jugabilidad similar a los típicos simuladores de vida, con la variante de que el jugador podrá experimentar, en carne propia, la "vida oculta" del sacerdocio; pudiendo realizar acciones como visitar a los feligreses, oficiar misas, liderar a la comunidad para recolectar donativos, reformar el laboratorio santo, hacer exorcismos, organizar carreras automovilísticas, enfrentarse contra otros sacerdotes o manifestaciones de demonios, todo en base a un sistema de reputación que le permitira recibir recompensas por cada actividad — El dinero luego servirá para mejorar la iglecia, las armas y los carros...
Sin duda, Priest Simulator es un titulo con el que será posible divertirse (por lo menos, un par de horas); ya que es distinto, entretenido y tiene la capacidad de generar curiosidad en la mente del jugador — Todo gracias a un planteamiento fuera de serie.
As expected, Priest Simulator offers a gameplay similar to typical life simulators, with the variant that the player will be able to experience, first hand, the "hidden life" of the priesthood; being able to carry out actions such as visiting parishioners, officiating masses, leading the community to collect donations, reforming the sacred laboratory, doing exorcisms, organizing car races, facing against other priests or demons, all based on a system reputation that will allow you to receive rewards for each activity — The money will be used to improve the church, the weapons and the tanks...
Without a doubt, Priest Simulator is a title that you can have fun with (at least a couple of hours); as it is different, entertaining and has the ability to generate curiosity in the mind of the player — All thanks to an exceptional approach.
