I will probably try to bring all the Castlevania games to this site, but I'm not sure I will, maybe I'll alternate a bit between different games, I just hope you like this new review.
Seguramente intente traer todos los juegos de Castlevania a este sitio, pero no estoy segura de hacerlo, tal vez alterne un poco entre distintos juegos, solo espero que esta nueva reseña les guste. Esta vez les hablaré del Harmony of Dissonance, el cual fue lanzado por el año 2003 si no me equivoco, siendo uno de mis favoritos.
We already know that Dracula is practically invincible. In almost every Castlevania the story begins the same way, it is always after defeating Dracula. This time it's been 50 years since his defeat, enough time for Dracula to rest. This time destiny will need the help of Juste Belmont, who is possibly one of the strongest protagonists of any Castlevania game. He will have to go on a journey in search of Dracula's Relics and in search of an old friend named Lydie, who is kidnapped. Juste Belmont learns all this from his best friend Maxim, who one day goes to see him in a totally unexpected way, hurt and worried about his mutual friend who was kidnapped. Maxim takes Juste to the place of Lydie's disappearance, where they will find a strange fog, quite dark to tell the truth. After passing through the fog in a mysterious way you will be able to see the castle of Dracula. The story continues with the search for Lydie, but many strange and bizarre events await her on the way.
Ya sabemos que Drácula es prácticamente invencible. En casi todos los Castlevania la historia comienza igual, siempre es después de derrotar a Drácula. Esta vez han pasado 50 años desde su derrota, tiempo suficiente para que Drácula pueda descansar. Esta vez el destino necesitará la ayuda de Juste Belmont, quien posiblemente sea uno de los protagonistas más fuertes de cualquier juego de Castlevania. Él, deberá de ir a un viaje en busca de las Reliquias de Drácula y en busca de una vieja amiga llamada Lydie, quien es secuestrada. Juste Belmont se entera de todo esto por su mejor amigo Maxim, quien un día va a verlo de forma totalmente inesperada, herido y preocupado por su amiga en común que fue raptada. Maxim lleva a Juste al lugar de la desaparición de Lydie, donde se encontrarán con una extraña niebla, bastante oscura a decir verdad. Tras pasar a través de la niebla de forma misteriosa podrán ver el castillo de Drácula. La historia continúa con la búsqueda de Lydie, pero muchos raros y extraños sucesos le deparan en el camino. Posiblemente este Castlevania sea uno de los mejores en cuanto a historia, pero no puedo estar segura si estoy enamorada de todos los Castlevania.
It is impressive how these games maintain their essence despite the years. This game maintains controls similar to all the Castlevania games and that is wonderful. The Castlevania is characterized by having quite extensive maps, and in Harmony Of Dissonance the maps are very large, which gives us many hours to explore and many hours of fun. The main mechanics of the game is to go through the extensive map in search of relics that will let us advance and continue our adventure, typical in games of this style. There will be parts of the game that are unexplored without the help of the relics that grant skills. You can find this game for the GBA console but nowadays you can play it almost anywhere with the help of emulators.
Es impresionante el como estos juegos mantienen su esencia a pesar de los años. Este juego mantiene controles similares a todos los Castlevania y eso es maravilloso. Los Castlevania se caracterizan por tener mapas bastante extensos, y en Harmony Of Dissonance los mapas son muy grandes, lo que nos da muchas horas para explorar y muchas horas de diversión. La mecánica principal del juego es ir por el extenso mapa en busca de reliquias que nos dejarán avanzar y proseguir con nuestra aventura, lo típico en juegos de este estilo. Habrán partes del juego que son inexplorables sin la ayuda de las reliquias que otorgan habilidades. Este juego lo puedes encontrar para la consola GBA pero actualmente se puede jugar casi en cualquier consola o lugar con ayuda de emuladores.
The part that I love most about Castlevania's games is their good atmosphere, gothic, mysterious, scary and even bloody, the truth is that in my other life I was a vampire. In this one, those animations and drawings are faithfully maintained. Although to tell the truth I like much more visually the Aria Of Sorrow in spite of they are something similar, to this one is added a little more work in the design of the map and they focus edges so that their distinction is much better. This design improvement makes the game to complement in a spectacular way with the music and sound, which is excellent as always. The music of this game reminds me a lot to the old arcades I used to play with my father. Simply a masterpiece.
La parte que más amo de los juegos de Castlevania es su buena ambientación, gótica, misteriosa, tenebrosa y hasta sangrienta, la verdad es que en mi otra vida yo era una vampira. En este, se mantiene fielmente esas animaciones y dibujos. Aunque a decir verdad me gusta mucho más visualmente el Aria Of Sorrow a pesar de que son algo parecidos, a este se le añade un poco más de trabajo en el diseño del mapa y enfocan bordes para que su distinción sea mucho mejor. Esa mejora de diseño hace que el juego se complemente de manera espectacular con la música y el sonido, la cual es excelente como siempre. La música de este juego me hace recordar mucho a los viejos arcades que jugaba con mi padre. Sencillamente una obra maestra.
