Gran Turismo 6 gameplay - April 1 2024

in Hive Gaming2 months ago

Got myself an old rally car and entered it into some of the beginner races. It was the lowest spec I have yet to try, but should probably put up a good fight against modern cars. I drive the Nissan Bluebird rally car. It was not one of the DLC, but one you can buy in the showroom. During the updating of the versions a credit drop was given out, so I had enough to buy a nice car or two. This one was on the cheaper side, but I feel like many of the rally cars would nearly lap the beginning races. So maybe later I will buy another one once I progress in this game a little bit.

Its light weight but not much horse power, so I will need to use the twisties to my advantage to gain position on some of the cars.

Starting off we get a curved section, not fully up to speed yet but I found myself passing the slower cars right away.

I work my way through the pack and pass the last few cars.

Up ahead a Prius is first place, hopefully this old rally car can catch up and pass it.

Seems like the cars take this section of the course slow, knowing this I can pass with ease.

Now just a few more cars and I will be in first, a lap down and one to go.

Making my way to second, I wait for my time to pass.

Finally on the last few hundred feet I pass the Prius. Was more work than I expected.

I got myself first with only a second to spare.

The next race I start near the back, and gonna do it all over again.

Parts of the course with many turns work to my advantage.

On the straight aways I just try to hold my own.

I am surprised this old rally car kept up as well as it did.

When it comes to the old year races hopefully this car will apply.

Now on the Streets of Willow we are out in the desert.

I miss my turning spot on a few turns and get into the dirt a little, but I recover it.

Though the next area is a straight away, and I lost all my speed messing up on that turn.

I get passed but stay close so I can gain the lead again.

Luckily I find a spot to pass and just keep my speed as high as possible through the sweeping turns.

All the work pays off and I get first, time to move onto the next course in the following video. Will post again soon.

I think this is the best looking cars/racing game currently out there, isn't it? :)

Its a loved classic that is for sure.. I am sure the newer versions look even better but sometimes going back to the old games just feels right.

I totally agree on that!

I love the classic style of grand touring racing brother! They look very good and I was fascinated by the filmic style of the races. Well, excellent photos! I loved them!

Thanks, yeah the replays look really cool. So I am happy to play them back when recording for gameplay videos.

This has always been one of the games I enjoy the most when it comes to racing. I love the realism and even the difficulty that exists in it.

I love the GT series as well. I have played Forza and Need for Speed but something really special about GT.

What an awesome series!!! Still playing a couple myself!!

Oh cool.. yeah it sure is.

What amazing and cool cars there are in this video game, the races look amazing, I can imagine the adrenaline you must feel each of the races, your captures were amazing, I loved the video, it was great to see it while you did the race, it looks very entertaining.

I really get into it when playing, its been a lot of fun going back and trying out games again.

I have not played this game but car's design looks nice. Must be fun to play

It is a lot of fun to play.

ZAAAAAmn this is a epic post, you even did the Table thing. I used to do that for Art color hexacodes but that was too tedious.

Grrrrrrrrrr at this point if a game is over a decade old. They should make it free, or atleast the DLC's.

Hahahaha you uploaded it on april 1.

Also for a Nissan Blue bird. You have a red car. HMMMMMMM

Hah yeah man trying out some new markdown in my posts. It does feel like coding a bit.

I feel ya, its pretty lame Sony locked people out of getting the DLC in some cases. You have to use save game editors to get the items on GT5.

Lol... They did not let me choose the color.

Game modding like editing the text file of my save or animating with some bit of code commands have taught me a few tricks here and there.

Sadge. The car is on the red team! GET EM!

Wow! I love that view of the last two pictures 🤩....I always wish I could enjoy the game view in real 😜

The Streets of Willow is a pretty amazing course. I have been there in person, its in the middle of the desert.. Very cool place.

I like the authenticity.. the realism!

It is pretty real feeling.
