Level Four of Furore New Atari Lynx Brawler Shown

in Hive Gaming2 days ago

Back in May 2025, I wrote about an upcoming Atari Lynx brawler called Furore. Now in December 2025, I am back with a follow up article showcasing level 4 of that game. I must say, I am still excited to see this release and how fans react to it. I have not had access to the game outside of that previous demo and what has been posted on the AtariAge forums. Considering how little the Lynx was able to flex while it was commercially viable, seeing new games created for it is a treat.

<h2?>New Location Showcased

While the Atari Lynx ultimately had a short lifespan, that has not stopped fans from taking up the challenge and creating more games for it. One genre that was sorely lacking on the Atari portable was brawlers, sure we got releases like Kung Food (affiliate link)

Also, um, Hockey and Basketbrawl (they have “some” fighting in them) were released, the Lynx had nothing to compare to Final Fight or Streets of Rage. The team at Triade are working to fix this situation with Furore.

The great thing about their game is, it is likely to fill a very large void in the Lynx library, alone, no competition to speak of.

Showcasing More than Just a Level

If you watch the trailer, embedded above, you will notice that more than just the level is being showcased here. There are new moves, new graphics, and stylish tidbits not many brawlers have done. One tidbit that caught my eye was the plant at about the 40 second mark that is in the foreground.

The feet of your character slips behind the plant giving Furore even more depth than just parallax scrolling in the background could.

There are new attacks as well such as a jumping splits move.

What is shown just makes me want to play Furore more and more.

What brawler was your favorite? I am a Final Fight purist myself. I love that title but I can rock some Streets of Rage 2 hacks for days and get just as much enjoyment.
