RE: Amazing Christmas Gift: Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros (Nintendo)

Always awesome to see fans enjoying things they wanted. I never knew Nintendo made a Game & Watch release of Super Mario Bros 1 and 2 like this. Too cool.

Hey @triverse, me too, never heard of it before I went looking. It's strange I can still remember playing Super Mario around a friends house after school on the NES, but oddly it feels like the game is more fun to play in hand held format than it was back then Console & TV.

Maybe its the convenience.. dunno. Either way I've found myself taking the lil pocket sized hand held out and about, like killing 10mins in the Dentist waiting room lolz :)

They do Zelda as well on another unit!..

I am nearly 50 years old and it still feels like last week when I first played Super Mario Bros in the front of a Safeway in Northern California. I can vividly remember the birthday I got a NES with Duck Hunt and Super Mario Bros and how I played more Duck Hunt alternating with my dad (who had horrible arthritus) shooting ducks and clay pigeons.

It is amazing how games can have that kind of impact on us, even decades later. I hope kids growing up on PS5 and such develop similar wonderful memories themselves.

I will have to check out the Zelda one. I never got into that one back in the day, I could only rent it for a weekend at a time as it was forever sold out at local stores. Forget mail order when you are 11 to 15 years old - that is blasphemy lol.

Nostalgia can be a great thing, it can quickly separate us from our money too. Lol

Great stuff! #memorylane :)
