How frustrating is climbing in Virtual Reality, Assassin's Creed Nexus VR really? I changed my mind. How to not climb a temple.

Was sagt ihr dazu? Habt ihr schon mal VR probiert, seid in VR geklettert?

Are you kidding me? My arms are sore from me trying this shit an hour. And the solution was to raise my arms for calibration.

Thank you! I’ve just spent 30 minutes trying to climb that wall. It made me furious lol.

Climbing works until i have to do a upward jump with two hands. Then it's bugged like hell

If you've ever played an Assassin's Creed game on PC or console, you'll know that climbing is one of the main components of Assassin's Creed.

You can climb virtually effortlessly up any building or structure with the press of a single button. It's like magic.

And climbing is not missing from the first VR game in the AC series, but is also central. However, there is one small difference.

You have to climb physically, i.e. move with your arms in real life, and this can be exhausting or even frustrating for some.

The worst are the swinging movements in the first levels. In order to overcome a larger distance, you have to make fast and dangerous swinging movements with your arms/controllers, which usually don't work, don't register properly. maybe I'm too slow.

It took me umpteen times to manage these swing gestures. This is frustrating. Take a look at the video below to get an idea.

However, now comes the good news, fortunately you don't really need the swing movements in the game so far and the normal climbing is actually quite well solved and is even fun once you get used to it. It's almost like a little workout.

What do you think? Have you ever tried VR or climbed in VR?

I have never tried VR but it sounds like it would be very tiring. I would not want to even play if I had to do that.

I'll stick with a console for Assassin's Creed, that sounds like a lot of work with the VR on! Never tried it with VR!

😝 all that work, only to have a big fall.. but ta least the golden horses were really good!

Have you ever tried VR or climbed in VR?

I don't have one yet, but maybe when Quest 4 or a better alternative comes out, I'll get one.

To climb, it is better to go to the climbing wall. 🤣🤣🤣

you seem to get the hang of it.. but i agree it would be tiring if you have to move your arms as well.

at least you can get in shaped when playing assassin creed. lol 😅

At 1:31 I thought you didn't fall to the ground and you made it, maybe you're just unlucky at the end.

seems like a lot of gamers got furious but it was quite entertaining watching the video.

But hope this virtual reality wouldn't change our identity

No I've never tried VR especially in gaming. But it sounds like a fun experience but also very tiring, I mean climbing in VR. I will very much like to try it out when I have the chance. Thanks for writing and have a nice day.

The video seem interesting to me though. I’m not a gamer but I always appreciate when I see one
