My gaming "career" started many years ago. To be precise, 23 years ago.
There are many games that will always have a special place in my heart. The list would be too long to name them all, so I will stay with my top 3 games from my childhood:

The first game I've played for a longer time. Longer time means, over and over again. I've been like 12 years old or something at that time. As every gamer knows, I am talking about Half Life

Half-Life is a series of first-person shooter games developed and published by Valve. The games combine shooting combat, puzzles, and storytelling.
Of course I've played everyting related to that. Opposing Force, Blue Shift and - of course - Counter Strike.

After the release of Episode 2 - also a master piece - people are desperately waiting for Episode 3. Which became a meme by now. But who knows?

The first game I bought with my own pocket money. Back then in 1998. Damn, I was really bad in strategy games. But it opened up a new genre for me and I discovered my love for the fantasy setting. Orcs and elves are a must for me in every fantasy RPG by now.

His successor Warcraft 3 is still beeing played by a huge fanbase allthough Blizzard kind of messed up the remastered edition.

There is only one game I've played more than any other. World Of Warcraft. Countless hours of leveling and raiding. Starting from its release in 2004 through Burning crusade, Wrath of the lich king, Cataclysm and Mists of pandaria it has been my compagnion through the years. Then ist stopped... because of reasons. And other games.
BUT it was not the end.
Since Blizzard came up with the Classic relaunch last year, there is almost no day without WoW. Again.
Lucky me, my wife is also playing WoW which reduces the risk of getting divorced by at least 95% :D

That's a pretty sweet setup you have! Warcraft 3 was the first one I ever played and it sparked my interest for strategy games way back. I am not really good at them but always liked playing them anyways. The vanilla WoW login screen is pretty nostalgic.

Lucky me, my wife is also playing WoW which reduces the risk of getting divorced by at least 95% :D

lol 😄

Half Life was the second game I played because as it had Counter-Strike 1.6. then it was that they told me that Half Life existed. XD

Yeah... Good old CS 1.6
A must have on every LAN party.

jaja If it is very old but it still amuses me and the Online also. XD

I started with gaming from watching my dad playing wow . It was so nice

I remember playing one of the first Warcraft game and I loved it. First I had played Age of Empires, that was a classic, specially the second one.

From Valve games I like Portal and I played a little Team Fortress 2. People always make the joke that Valve can't count to three hehe.

Good thing that your wife is also a gamer, mine likes to play a little but she prefers watching, specially of it's a game with good story and adventure.

Yeah GlaDos from Portal and especially Portal 2 had great humor. Loved her sarcastic way to say that you suck :D

Hahaha yes! I want to replay Portal 2 soon, it has a lot of funny things.

me gusto mucho tu post, sobre todo los recuerdos de world of warcraft y que bueno que el riesgo de divorcio con tu esposa sea menor hahaha

Hahaha :) you made me laugh with that one.You also made me really nostalgic to play some WoW.I might check out the upcoming Shadowlands expansion.I hear the plan is to revamp the new player experience, that will likely draw me back.

I used to play Half Life a lot with my cousin in the PC game room. It was the sensation before the Counter Strike mod was released. Although both are very good games. What do you think about Black Mesa?

I played it back then when it wasn't finished yet. The alien part (Xen?!) was missing at that time.
Yet it was pretty sweet. Totally enjoyed the legendary train ride right at the beginning :D
