My family and I were busy preparing a temporary small store in our current location. We used to have a small store beside our house, but it was flooded during the typhoon as well. There are still some items (especially those we hang and those on the higher shelves) we can use and potentially sell. Luckily, our landlord is supportive of us setting up a temporary store for extra income.
There's still a lot we need, but it's slowly taking shape. While we were displaying some items from our previous store, I took a couple of coffee sticks and some sweetened cocoa and made a drink for the three of us.

In addition to these two, I took out some soy milk and ice cubes from the fridge.
It's already quite late in the day, so I decided to use less coffee and more soy milk. Let me share the drink I prepared. :)
First, added a couple of ice cubes to each glass and poured some soy milk. We prefer soy milk to cow's milk. It's friendlier to our hearts. hahaha

I set the iced soy milk for a bit and prepared the instant coffee and cocoa. I used two coffee sticks and half of the cocoa. It's sweetened cocoa, so this will also serve as our sugar. I didn't use all of them; otherwise, it'd be too sweet and chocolatey... xD

I mixed them using hot water. Cocoa is hydrophobic, so it's better to dissolve it in hot water. After mixing them well, I poured the mixture evenly into each glass.

It's looking good, but it didn't fill the whole glass. I was thinking of either adding more ice cubes or more soy milk.

I chose the latter. If I add more ice cubes, it'll turn out bland... and it won't be as tasty. It's not that sweet to start with, so choosing the milk was the better choice.

It was delicious, and I'm glad my parents enjoyed it too, even though I used instant coffee and cocoa. I like experimenting with coffee drinks, whether it's instant coffee or brewing my own.
I love coffee, but I rarely go to cafes. The atmosphere in cafes is great. It's relaxing and cozy, but their drinks are too expensive. haha So, when I go to a cafe, it's not to buy a drink... but to buy some coffee beans.
At the cafe where I last got my coffee beans, 500g costs about the same as 2-3 drinks. And with that amount of coffee beans, I'd get to enjoy coffee many times at home with my family. haha
Well, I enjoy brewing coffee... my French Press was damaged by the flood last time, but I could get a replacement, so my family and I can enjoy coffee every morning. It's one of my simple joys in life. haha
For now, we have a limited budget because of what happened, so I'm saving my coffee beans for breakfast and using instant ones for fun drinks in the afternoon when we feel like it.
When we're able to recover from this situation, I'd like to enjoy more coffee! haha Anyway, it was a delicious, fun drink!
I'll end this post here for now. See you around! (^^,)/
