Dill for days

in HiveGarden2 years ago

Took a big harvest of dill out of my garden last night, still lots more to come but figure do it in sections as it takes 24 hrs to dehydrate each batch. Round this house we use 5 or 6 freezer bags of dill a year in soup and on eggs etc its pretty versatile can put it in pretty much anything we also sell some, we buy bulk packs of empty spice shakers and fill and sell on our local buy and sell for 3$ a container its a pretty good profit cause this shit is beyond simple to grow. if you can screw up growing dill then you should probably quit gardening haha only shitty part about preparing it is the mess it get everywhere best investment i ever made was a 10 tray professional dehydrator from cabelas. ive dehydrated any spice or herb you can name, peppers, made potato chips and banana chips and dehydrated fruits even made jerky in it a few times.
