I dream life

in HiveGarden3 months ago

I have a dream,
a dream that goes away every night
and returns with the first light of the dawn.
A dream full of light and growth.
I dream life.

Untitled-1.jpg

DAY 1

I dream of dark soil
rich and fluffy,
full of nutrients
and patient seeds,
waiting for their best chance
to pop up.
I dream life.

DAY 2

I dream of young sprouts
eager to rise from the ground
and reach for the sun,
so ignorant and so wise.
I dream life.

DAY 3

I dream of a green forest
tall and slender,
as an alien on earth.
I dream of figures, light and shadows,
I dream life.

DAY 4

I dream of walking in this alien forrest
naked and content
living in harmony with all the creatures
that move graciously
from the shadows to the light.
I dream life.

On a more mundane level, those are green mizuna microgreens during the first four days of their sprouting, on our kitchen bench. And soon they'll be part of our salad :)

Have a lovely Sunday and a wonderful March ahead!

The camera that I used is a Canon EOS 6D mark II with an EF 100mm f2.8L macro lens attached. I edited the photographs in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic.

All the pictures and the words are mine.

Thank you for reading and if you want to know more about me you can check out my introduction post.

Commenting, upvoting and rebloging are highly appreciated!

This is just beautiful!!!! I haven't seen a post like this before and it certainly shows another side of you... I love this so much.

Thank you very much for saying that. It is definitely not my usual style and since I am not very confident about my English, I am a bit reluctant trying to write that way!

I am so glad you liked it :)

WOW,WOW,WOW,WOW, WOOoooooooOOOOWiiiie!!!

I love this so so much. I have had to grow sprouted plants in school as must have every student around the world. And I always did love the way the sprouts looked. But never thought of giving it the photographic treatment as you have. I am so enchanted with this catalog of photos - the wonderful greens. the early struggle to pop out, the texture and fertility of the soil => WOW!

Thank you for sharing such happiness :)

If you had to choose from the photos published here which one, or ones, would you pick as the portfolio entry?

Thank you very much!

Yes, we were sprouting lentils in school too. I guess you are right, it must be a global thing :)

I usually make a collage of photographs for the first picture of a post when I can't decide which one I should choose. Same here!

But my most favourites are the last one and the third of day 3, the one with the blue background!

The blue background one is beautiful for sure. I like the early buds popping out of shell pics too.

Microgreens are always a beauty, they look simple yet very pleasing to eyes. Good afternoon!

Lovely bokehs here. I often shoot in portrait mode with my phone for that bokeh effect.

Thanks a lot :)

This is a very beautiful piece of poetry explaining life in the form of a simple thing like sowing seeds in the soil, watching it sprout and then responding to the light stimulus.
