Spiral Garden Equinox update πŸŒ€πŸŽπŸŒ± Chickens, ancient wall & Empowerment Cubit bed

In June last year i announced the acquisition of new land on which we intended to create a spiral watering system designed to enhance the growth of the plants around it and while we are far from finished with this enormous task i would like on this Spring Equinox to show you how things are progressing.

I had at the time just finished reading this book which makes some excellent observations about a most important diagram found in nature, replicated throughout the ages in art & architecture.
image.png

With this in mind i designed our spiral watering system to respect & utilise the energy of the above diagram, placing orgonite & crystals at the intersecting points.
image.png

Since then however the water restrictions in this region have still not been lifted and there are now 'water police' who i expect to see here during the hotter months, just as we did last year. Obviously we don't want to get caught 'in the act' by these people but if they should happen to notice my spirals the problem is that i cannot justify a design of this nature without acknowledging it does in fact use the canal water.

From the public footpath this land is very visible as you can see and i would be pushing my luck if i were to build watering channels in everyone's view.
image.png

So for now i have simply focused my attention on the back area of the land which cannot be seen from the path.
image.png

Ultimately we will either build a fence of some kind to block the view from the path or the restrictions will go away and the spiral garden watering system will be built.

The Empowerment Cubit bed

In the meantime i have been scratching my head over what type of bed i would like to create next to the existing one. Ever since learning about tensor rings i have been keen to replicate some aspects of this in the garden. Circles made of conductive copper wire will produce a beneficial frequency when they are a specific size, so it seems logical to assume that if these circles are made of water a similar effect will take place.

At first i wasn't too sure about my final design but i went ahead anyway, preparing the land in front of the sunken greenhouse.
IMG_1815.jpeg

The greenhouse has been great by the way. Amazingly effective design.
GOPR3327.jpeg

Once i had a blank canvas i was able to visualise how it was going to look.
GOPR3240.jpeg

I put a magnetised cable running North/South down the middle. All my beds are designed this way now, in sync with the natural magnetic energy of our Great Playground (as it is at time of construction).
GOPR3246.jpeg

After marking out the boundary of four Empowerment Cubit circles with 116cm diameter (five times original size) i started adding stones.
GOPR3248.jpeg

It only took a few days to complete as stones we have in abundance.
GOPR3290.jpeg

Throughout this period the Sylphs watched overhead, satisfied i think with my work.
GOPR3280.jpeg

The energy feels strong here in the middle.
GOPR3296.jpeg

Illuminated by the sun in this shot.
GOPR3297.jpeg

I have these cut potatoes for this bed.
GOPR3278.jpeg

Positioned before planting.
GOPR3312.jpeg

It feels likely that the harvest of these potatoes will interfere with the stones but i don't care. Building this was fun and i would happily do it again.
GOPR3313.jpeg

After planting the potatoes i started putting on the mulch to hold in the moisture.
GOPR3323.jpeg

The watering system will generally just be left on at night. To avoid any scrutiny!
GOPR3326.jpeg

Notice how the circles (where i intend to plant sweetcorn) are slowly taking the water. This is a good sign and hopefully means i will never need to pick up a watering can again!
GOPR3351.jpeg

One of the four circles has been planted with sweetcorn & covered with mulch now. The others will be staggered over the next month.

Chickens for eggs

I saw a film recently in which it was indicated that chickens are the easiest way to produce a constant supply of calories and long has it been on my mind to get this done. Plus the children are really excited about having feather friends!

So right at the back of the garden i have cleared this area of brambles for a chicken enclosure.
GOPR3286.jpeg

The brambles can be seen here, a painful bunch to remove!
GOPR3363.jpeg

The children helped me dream of how the chicken enclosure was going to look.
GOPR3264.jpeg

At first i considered buying a large cage to keep them safe from foxes and other animals but in the end opted to use that which we have in abundance, bamboo & ivy.

A test section of wall seen here, with an approving cat.
GOPR3344.jpeg

The watering system will continue through the chicken enclosure and back into a river beyond this land. This way the chickens can drink fresh water from the canal.
GOPR3350.jpeg

This is where i am at now.
GOPR3378.jpeg

Slowly building up the wall with anything i can find. Sticks, dead sunflowers, weeds & lots of ivy to bind it all in. Am confident animals will not be able to pass through.
GOPR3376.jpeg

Once i am done with this i will dig in a metal grill around the perimeter of the wall to prevent foxes from digging under and also attach a net over the top.

The chickens will be free to roam around the garden when we are there, but when we are not they must be locked in this enclosure for their safety.
GOPR3375.jpeg

At night they will sleep in a wooden hut elevated above the ground. Thinking to buy something like this.
Screenshot 2024-03-22 at 17.42.17.png

The wooden hut will have a magnetised cable underneath and their enclosure will have a copper antenna of sorts because the quality and frequency of the eggs is said to improve with certain electroculture techniques.

Last thing i wanted to mention was the seating area right at the back and also this ancient wall which appears to have collapsed long ago.
GOPR3358.jpeg

This is how the area looked in June last year.
IMG_5782.jpeg

Am thinking to build a little wall with these stones to separate the seating area from the garden.
GOPR3362.jpeg

What remains i will turn into a hillside bed of glorious colours. Might even add some jiaogulan which i think would love it here.
GOPR3357.jpeg

The seating area will be well shaded by the fig trees and i also intend to build a stone BBQ as i would very much like us to spend as much time as possible here. With our new feathered friends.
GOPR3360.jpeg

I think that's it for this garden.

You probably can't tell from these pictures but the bottle shaped bed we started last year is extremely productive now.
GOPR3375.jpeg

You just have to look closer to see it.
IMG_1881.jpeg

Closer still...
GOPR3339.jpeg

The peas are loving our new system of sticks shoved in the ground for support. No need for fancy bamboo frames!
GOPR3338.jpeg

You can eat them whole now but it's better if you wait for those amazing peas to develop.
IMG_1887.jpeg

Radishes & sweet peas here along with a couple of electroculture devices.
GOPR3340.jpeg

Garlic pushing its way through the mulch here.
IMG_1882.jpeg

Over here we have leeks from last year and a new bed of lettuce coming which i didn't physically plant. They planted themselves.
IMG_1885.jpeg

This is a baby almond tree which is also helping support the peas.
IMG_1891.jpeg

This one is a pear tree, looking very much like an electroculture antenna.
IMG_1893.jpeg

Viewed from the path you can hardly tell anything at all is going on.
GOPR3366.jpeg

Which is perfect for now.

Final thoughts

As a final thought it occurred to me that when one toils over the construction of their own chicken enclosure, using local materials rather than taking the easy route and just buying a cage, the result will always be fused with their energy and intentions, making it more effective even when physically speaking it may be considered below safety standards.

Just as it was with the stories people have around their negative birthing experiences everyone has been very fast, upon learning of our new endeavour, to share their negative experiences with chickens and i feel as if one can easily get caught up in a whole bunch of irrelevant energies here.

I know what i need to know mostly from instinct and have been singing to the fence as i construct it, a haka type song with guttural sounds and words which don't belong to any language, to heighten the protective energy around it.

Hungry animals will no doubt come and check out this strange kind of fence which glows with energy but they will not pass it.

Love & Light everyone 🌱

Your pea plants! Your little pear tree! Your photobomber cat!
And the photo of the chicken coop, LOL, turns out to be something you did not build, which was my first thought: it looked so out of place, so unlike the work of your hands. You really might buy one? I can imagine them in a little stone fortress with a solar roof (and all your electrical genius innovations).
Love your posts!
In other news, it's now a year since I bought Wands of Horus (due to your post), and I worked my way up to holding them for hours in the night, but the only thing I noticed was occasional hand cramps.
Nothing about my life seemed "better" or improved thanks to the wands.
I have not given up on them, but I suspect they work best outdoors, barefoot, facing the setting sun.
For $80, it was an interesting experiment.
How about you.... any results to report? I need to check out your list of posts! I've missed so many! Thanks @owasco for reblogging, or I'd miss a lot more.

Hello there Carol!

Apologise for the slow response here. Have been very focused on the chicken house since writing this post. Almost done now and the chickens will be arriving next week :)

The wooden chicken 'chalet' will be arriving in a few days and yes indeed, i could have built it. And it would have been so cool! But having now spent two weeks on the chicken mission my feeling is that saving the time is more important. I barely have time to open this website at the moment and have so many posts i would like to write...

Thanks for the wand update. I must admit that no matter how much i practiced it never felt comfortable holding them at night. I do hold them during meditations and sometimes out sungazing. This feels very good. Even Esteban held them for 20mins the other day when he was feeling sick and this seemed to make him feel better. Nothing much more to report than that really. Can i say that great things continue to happen in my life? Certainly. But can i say it has anything to do with the wands? Not really. I would have been interested to try out the original Russian wands, just to make a comparison.

By the way, i rather like your idea of solar panels on the chicken house! This could create a little night light for them and perhaps protect the enclosure from predators who will be put off by the illumination. Let's see if i get round to that.

In that case, I won't add to the chorus but simply watch to see if it works. :))

I would add that one should allow as much room as possible (sq.ft/bird) to prevent picking amongst the birds. Once that starts, there's no stopping it. Plenty of animal protein (poultry can not synthesize plant protein to get the aminos they need) and plenty to keep them from being bored will help.

I will be watching vicariously to see how the chicken operation goes, as I am not able to do them on my own here.

Β last monthΒ Β

I remember a few years ago when i announced the cling film greenhouse to the sound of dissenting voices and they turned out to be right so the experience of other is certainly valuable. It was just funny that of the five people we spoke to here about chickens all of them had a long list of things that could potentially go wrong, without any indication that buying chickens is a worthwhile move. One of them even told us that gypsies have been known to steal chickens from this village! And i'm not really sure what to say about that. For now it would be impossible to protect against humans who hope to steal them. Perhaps we will get a dog who can live there?

Thanks for the protein tip. Will do what i can to make sure they get lots of bugs, worms & fly larvae. Am intending ultimately to have a bed exclusively for growing their food. We can't very well rely on buying grains while prices keep going up.

I looked up space required per chicken and i think with only four they should be okay with this enclosure. For two hours a day (minimum) they will run around the whole garden and hopefully not eat too much of our food!

Do you have any suggestions for how to keep them from getting bored?

Also, am interested to understand why you are not able to have chickens on your own?

Β last monthΒ Β

Yes, I am not physically able to care for them. Plus the infrastructure needs a LOT of repair.
We had a LOT of problems with boredom. We'd early on fixed the daily protein problem. We had limited spaces for the layers so we did what we could to keep the picking from starting. There's only 1 solution once it starts...

Here, predators are a BIG problem, so we built for them. We only lost 2 or 3 chickens out of the hundreds we raised over the years. Doing the work ahead made keeping chickens worthwhile. They paid for themselves most years and gave us all the eggs we wanted.

I've lots of posts on what we did if you have any more questions.

Awesome! Thank you for all the valuable links and also for this wonderful musical chicken idea :)

Wow, this is amazing. I am sure you put a lot of hours in building it

Β last monthΒ Β

This was easy compared to the chicken enclosure am working on now.

It was easy because the stones were found directly next to the garden while for the chicken wall i must find the ivy to build it and this is not so easy. In fact it can be extremely difficult pulling ivy from trees!

At least the children seem interested to help me with this project :)

Now, that's what I call family. I am sure your children will inherit your work ethic in gardening.

Your creativity and inventiveness bring to mind the great Bengali scientist nobody has heard of (or so it seems), despite his incredible achievements. I can find maybe 2 or 3 brief mentions of him at Hive. E.g.
One day with the great scientist, Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose

Jagdish Chandra Bose: A Trailblazer in Science and Innovation

In the annals of scientific history, certain names stand out as beacons of innovation and discovery. Among them is Jagdish Chandra Bose, an extraordinary figure whose pioneering work spanned multiple disciplines, leaving an indelible mark on the world of science. Born on November 30, 1858, in Mymensingh (now in Bangladesh), Bose’s journey from a humble background to becoming one of India’s most celebrated scientists is as inspiring as his groundbreaking contributions to physics, biology, and telecommunications.
Revolutionizing Plant Physiology
One of Bose’s most remarkable achievements was his groundbreaking research in plant physiology. Armed with an insatiable curiosity and an innovative spirit, he conducted experiments that challenged conventional wisdom about plant life. Through meticulous observations and the invention of ingenious instruments like the crescograph, Bose revealed the hidden world of plant responses to external stimuli, laying the groundwork for the field of biophysics.

The second reference, I should clarify, was not a Hive post.
Here's another:
The Story of How Jagdish Chandra Bose Proved Plants Have Life
J C Bose: The Little Known Story of How India's First Biophysicist Proved Plants Have Life. A man whose genius transcended boundaries, Jagdish Chandra Bose was a quintessential polymath: a physicist, a biologist, a botanist, an archaeologist, an author and a connoisseur of fine arts.

Wow! This is great.

Am searching for his two books now:

The Nervous Mechanism of Plants & Response in the Living and Non-Living.

Many thanks for the heads up!

Sam, thank YOU for all the information you share.
This "Secret Life of Plants" book is packed full of shocking censorship of good ideas.
So many scientists, shot down, vilified.
It's disheartening, but I keep reading and keep trying to get ideas Out There - even though too many good ideas get suppressed. E.g., Dr. Ruth Drown, publicly humiliated for promoting the Abrams device....

Wikipedia

Ruth Beymer Drown (October 21, 1891 - March 13, 1965) born in Colorado was an American alternative medicine practitioner, chiropractor and proponent of radionics. She invented radio devices which she claimed could cure any patient in the world, just from blood-sampling. Drown was investigated by the

What is frequency healing and how does it work?

Frequency healing refers to a type of treatment developed in the early 1900's based on theories of resonance and vibration. Although color and sound therapies are also based on resonance and vibration, frequency healing is a therapy associated with specific signature frequencies.
All matter vibrates at a particular rate that distinguishes it from all other matter. This rate of vibration emits a corresponding frequency, called the signature frequency. Signature frequencies of viruses, bacteria, disease states, healthy organs, bones, even thoughts and emotions have been identified (1). Using signature frequencies is not unique to frequency healing; its how astrophysics determines the atmospheric content of different planets. By measuring frequencies emitted from a planet surface and comparing them to known signature frequencies of gases and chemical compounds, atmospheric data is obtained.
Using frequency for healing consists of either disrupting or overloading unwanted frequency, such as those of a virus or bacteria, or by amplifying or nurturing healthy frequencies. Disrupting unwanted frequency occurs similarly to the way an opera singer breaks a glass.

Ok, maybe she really was a nut job.

Drown also claimed that jazz music caused cancer and could be combatted by playing soothing tunes. In one of her books Drown Atlas of Radio Therapy she claimed that patients should not stand over a drain when taking a shower because the patient's magnetism would be washed by the water into the drain and leave the patient "depleted". When taking a bath, someone else should drain the tub water, or the patient should put on a robe and drain the water outside the tub to keep from washing the patients magnetism out with the water.
