This year the temperature has dipped to the lowest in last twenty five years and its a missing opportunity.
December is usually the most flourishing month of the year and by this time, the garden should have been full with flowers. And even this year, the temperature has dipped to the lowest, a record in last twenty five years - the chilled weather, kind of takes me back to our young time. So if the garden were developed earlier, then this year would have been the best year to showcase my gardening skills.
But I am still optimistic and positive with what I have so far - after all the delays that was not in my control. At times I wonder, why the met department could not predict such a nice winter ahead of time - then people would have prepared much before. It's only in November we started all the activities and it was raining till end of October, with even few cyclones. The weather has been unpredictable but those who took risk and prepared early have got a nice chance. Ideally it takes 45 days to 60 days to flower and considering that calculation and the growth of my plants, I think, by end of December, we will see some nice outcome. So here is how the garden looks like from both sides, I spent more than half a day in last week taking care of these plants.
From now onward, I will not do any trimming and rather let them grow for flowers and they have already reciprocated to my feelings by giving some early flowers.

They have been already fed with one round of Jeevamrutha, the most effective natural liquid fertilizer for plant growth, that I have experienced to be more effective than any other organic fertilizer available in the market. For that reason, I plan to give them one more round by end of this month, even though its a little extra burden to prepare.
And now let me show you the inca plants that the society takes care of, I promised to show them in my last post.
Considering the pathetic state of the soil as well as the poor maintenance, they still have grown well, I would say. I have been taking care of giving them some organic sea weed and spraying insecticide every week and even watering at times, because the society gardener is regularly irregular . Nobody else in the society steps onto the ground and does any work, they feel it to be a prestige issue, but I am OK to work for plants. If these plants can bring smiles on somebody's face, then that reward is more precious than our pride. I am sure, by this New year, these plants will be full of big yellow flowers that everyone would love. This year, I have taught them a lot, so hopefully they can do it better, if they want to .
And before I wrap this post I must tell you that, this year the kid has taken a lot of load from me to take care of watering these plants in my absence. This year, I have added more pots and now they are sixty four in total - watering them every day, at a fixed time is certainly not every kid would happily do, but I am glad, he is responsible to honor my efforts and compliment me. At one point of time I never thought, we would have the garden grow again at the same place, but here we are. And there is one more interesting addition this year - a board for CCTV - MORE TO COME ON THAT SOON....

The early blooms look nice even with the cold slowing everything, thankfully the inca plants growing in that soil are holding up well, the season is already changing things

No, the ground is pretty close to being frozen. Before too long people will start driving their cars out on the lakes and go ice fishing. It's a whole different world in winter!
