Earlier this morning, my husband and I did our early backyard grind.
Embracing the perfect blend of sunshine and a gentle breeze, our recent backyard cleaning by the dike turned into a rejuvenating experience. With brooms in hand and a view of the nearby river, we embarked on a day of sweeping and fetching water, transforming our outdoor space into a haven of cleanliness and natural beauty.

Sweeping by the dike
Under the inviting rays of the sun, we began our backyard cleaning adventure by the dike. The rhythmic sound of broom bristles against the pavement harmonized with the soothing rustle of leaves in the wind. With every sweep, a sense of accomplishment and order blossomed in our outdoor sanctuary. It was mostly sand that I cleared up.

Fetching Water from the River
While I was busy sweeping my husband was also very busy prepping our submersible pump. The adjacent river offered more than just a scenic backdrop; it served as a sustainable water source for our beloved gynura plants. Hubby prepared first all our big plastic drums where the water from the river will be stored and then will be used to water our gynura procumbens also the rest of our plants as well. You see how lush and how healthy the leaves of our gynura procumbens are, so green with big leaves. We eat them everyday. For more than a decade already this has helped maintain the sugar levels and high blood pressure of my husband while for me, it helped me a lot getting rid of my dysmenorrhea, rheumatism, my kidneys problems, my toothache and mostly my vertigo which will easily be triggered if like for a week I don't consume gynura then at the same time I only have very few sleep. Bam! I will easily feel dizzy, it's really very hard. I don't wish it for anyone. For my mother-in-law these leaves healed her damaged ear drum and everytime she has arthritis it helped make the pain go away. So for us this plant is really a miracle plant. Thank you so much to my loving mom @jurich60 for introducing this heaven sent plant to us.
We have also given and shared the miracles of this plant to our friends by giving them the plant itself. We plant them in a 1.5 liter soda plastic bottles then we give them away. All of them were grateful because it helped them a lot as well.

Hubby has to climb down two levels of the dike, first is four feet and the second one is 12 feet down. He uses a rope to climb down. Look at him climbing down so easily. I tried it once but I can't, I always loose my balance... Haha.

When he reached the bottom of the dike, he then looked for a perfect spot to lay the bucket placing the submersible pump inside and also bringing with him our long extension wire in which the pump will be plugged in. Covering it just to be safe with kids. For there were kids on the river too just a few meters where he placed the pump.

Next is the hose, he tied together the hose and the extension wire so they won't get separated then when done he connected the hose to the pump.

A Symphony of Nature's Elements
As we worked, nature treated us to a symphony of its elements. The wind played a gentle melody, carrying the scent of river water and blooming flowers of the huge mango tree just across where we were.
The combination of warm sunlight and a cool breeze created an atmosphere that was both invigorating and calming—a testament to the beauty of the great outdoors.
The weather, indeed, played a pivotal role in transforming this cleaning day into a blissful experience. The sun's warmth energized us, while the cool breeze prevented any hint of fatigue. It was a day tailor-made for outdoor tasks.

Backyard Tranquility
As we wrapped up our cleaning and watering activities, our backyard emerged not only cleaner but transformed into a tranquil retreat. The dike, the river, and the gynura plants had become integral parts of a harmonious outdoor symphony. This day of chores turned into a celebration of nature's beauty, leaving us grateful for the perfect weather that had graced our simple yet fulfilling backyard grind.

Haha! Love your enthusiasm brother, yeap target locked🥭🥭
Every year this mango tree always bears a lot of fruits usually on the side were we can see them. Sad though the owners just let them fall off the tree because they are hanging on the highest parts that it's difficult to harvest them, you'll end up on the river below... Haha.

That's true cleaning does make a great family activity.
Thanks for dropping by my post @john0928. Have a great weekend too!

Enjoyed the natural weather quite well during the working day. But your husband looked like he was climbing a mountain or coming down from a mountain. Anyway good luck to you.
