ย ย ย Southeast Asia is home to a very active population, and many of us stay fit with with sports, whether organized or casual. My wife and I enjoy throwing the frisbee, playing casual badminton without a net, and in Suriname we had a bit of a backyard with grass, and we sometimes kicked the football around too. I am curious what sports/activities you ASEAN Hivers use to stay fit and healthy, and that's what this challenge is all about.
ย ย ย Even if you don't necessarily play sports, if you follow any sports (especially local ones) as a spectator, feel free to share that with the community too. I am flexible with my definition of sport too, I'd even consider walking and yoga sports too, basically anything you do to stay active that's not work.

ย ย ย This challenge was one of the hardest ones to choose winners. All the entries/landscapes were outstanding, and once again the Filipinas made a strong presence, further convincing me they are always up to a challenge. Several entries also contained 3Speak videos, and I commend those for taking the time to take this extra step. In the end I did choose three winners of course, but this challenge was proof that we all make sure to find a green/open space near our home where we can relax and escape the house.

Oh, i'll be participating in this although the amount of sports we have access to here is pretty limited.
I would have to assume bowling is king for you. I have never bowled a frame in SE Asia, but it was a really big part of my childhood and teenage years. I bowled in organized leagues, and can still remember the secondhand smoke and all the jukebox selections. "Country Boy Can Survive" by Hank Jr. was played at least 25 times a day.
It's a really different vibe in SEA than back state-side. It's rather lawless here and it is evident that most of the locals don't really have any idea how to bowl and they really don't have a clue about the existing courtesies. I regularly see violations that would get you warned and then later kicked out of the lanes in the US but we don't really complain because we bring so many people with us on our official days that they reserve the entire bowling alley for us.
There is no jukebox thankfully but during our two hours on Thursday they let us have the bluetooth to the soundsystem and every member gets to choose 2 songs that will play every week. Some songs have been rejected for being too long like "Freebird" or one guy put "Everybody Hurts" and that was vetoed by the council.
Best comment of the day, I had the visions in my head while reading this. "Free Bird" is just brutal, even when not listening to it in a bowling alley.

E-Sports are a pretty big deal in this part of the world, and I already said I was flexible with the rules, so of course ๐คฃ.
