October 11th, 2025First of all I'd like to apologize for missing a few of the weekly raffles lately. Life has been hectic, and it involves stretching myself too thin as a fulltime caregiver, part-time father, driver, cleaner, and of course I try to keep ASEAN Hive going during all this chaos. To be honest I have been suffering with mental health issues since arriving here, mostly due to the isolation, lack of human decency, and the way both family and friends look down on my wife and I for being poor after losing our life savings in 8-year fight against the US government.
My family and friends could've always come to Cambodia to visit us with little impact to their own lives, and I've always offered free airfare and zero spending costs for however long they choose to stay, whether a week or a year. This is because even though we are poor by Cambodian standards, we still choose to live below our means and have cash-on-hand to help loved ones in times of need or to travel to visit loved ones when we are needed. I guess what I'm trying to say is that the USA sucks, there are no family bonds here, families break apart into selfish quests for personal wealth without regard for the consequences.
Luckily Southeast Asian folks are awesome and friendly, and generally speaking don't look down on the poor as much as westerners do. I'm rambling again, I think it's because I have no time to blog and this is the next bes thing. Anyhow, this week @newhope1988 raised her delegation to 800 HP+, @godlovermel25 raised his to 650 HP, and @viviehardika raised hers to 276 HP, so everyone give thanks to these folks for going above and beyond. How The VIP Delegator Raffle Works
Every raffle I tally the total HP delegated to the @asean.hive curation account, and one raffle ticket is allocated for each HP delegated by you ASEAN Hivers (excluding [me] @justinparke, @srey-yuu, @sakana & @sreypov), with a minimum delegation of 50 HP to be eligible for the ASEAN Hive VIP 🥉 BRONZE Raffle.
There are five separate raffles, one for each VIP tier, and each tier's prize is a post beneficiary status equivalent to the tier's total percentage of raffle tickets allocated. This means the percentages of each tier's share of the prize is fluid, and I think it makes the raffle more fun and fairer.
This week's total effective HP is 204,906 HP, and total delegated HP is 191,138 HP (145,101 HP minus ASEAN team member delegations & delegations under 50 HP), so I plugged the numbers into my Raffle Picker iOS app, selected "pick winners," and the results were instantly and randomly calculated.
