THE BEAUTIFUL LADY AND THE STOMACH ACHE FESTIVAL happens every year in Indonesia, and it is celebrated by many folks. The name of the festival reveals a lot, and this event basically involves gathering the prettiest woman of the village and seating her next to the woman with the greatest stomach pains in the village.
If the woman with stomach pains can produce a fart good enough to make the pretty woman laugh, the stomach ache woman wins, and if the pretty lady can stay composed through the onslaught of farts without laughing, she wins. This festival is a lot of fun, good for laughs, but not something Indonesia is trying to share with the international community yet, but I think the secret is safe in ASEAN Hive.

In Cambodia the latest trend is PRETENDING TO BE GERBILS. A local entertainment center recently installed a human gerbil area to allow humans to enjoy the experience of playing in wood chips within a small confined space.
This new Cambodian trend makes me wonder if there is a place in the world where gerbils have built a HUMAN LARPING entertainment center and what it might consist of. I would imagine it has to be complete with minimum wage jobs and mean landlords, but the human experience is different for each of us I guess.

MALAYSIA'S MOST NOTORIOUCAT FRIGHTENER STRIKES AGAIN, as displayed by the photo on the right. Cats are terrifying and unpredictable creatures to some people, but few cats expect humans to turn the tables and give them a scare.
Well, it's quite obvious this kitty hasn't heard of @tampilyne, an ASEAN Hiver that's been striking fear into the hearts of Malaysian felines for decades. Her secret hobby is safe with us, and as long as she keeps her identity a secret from the Malaysian public, she'll have many more years of scaring cats in her future.
