Hello, dear Hivers! I hope that you are all fine and in good health always. Today’s blog is my entry into the challenge made by the Asian Hive community. The Love of fruits. Upon reading this challenge, I decided to join this interesting topic. I did not waste my time and hurriedly took a tour of our backyard and look for some fruits planted or grown. Why we must love fruits? Yes, it is. We must love it! Because fruits are important in our daily diet. As I mentioned above, it contains a lot of vitamins and nutrients which are essential to our body and some fruits are also used as herbal medicine.
So here are the fruits available or grown in our backyard.
Jackfruits
Jackfruit is a tropical fruit tree that grows in Asia. This fruit is sweet like other fruits. It can be cooked even if it is unripe by adding it to a vegetable dish or preparing it like a Kinilawng Langka. It provides nutrients like fiber, protein, and Vitamins B and C. Growing this fruit is easy. You can propagate this fruit by sexual or asexual propagation.
Banana
Banana also grows in tropical countries like the Philippines. There are several varieties of bananas. We have these varieties planted at home; Lakatan, Latundan, and Kardaba. Eating bananas provide vitamins and nutrients like potassium. It also helps our dry skin to hydrate and moisturizes. We can cook bananas in many ways. During the season, a banana can be made or prepared into a Jam.
Miracle Fruit
Miracle Fruit is like a coconut fruit. Its leaves and seeds can be used as medicine. Many people use this fruit as a remedy for diabetes and obesity. Drinking miracle juice will help relieve stress and makes your skin glow healthy and younger skin.
Coconut Fruits
Coconut fruit is considered a fibrous and seeded fruit. It has a hard cover shell enclosing the seed. Coconut is rich in fiber that helps prevent indigestion and acid influx. Many people loved to eat this fruit. It can be prepared in many ways. It can be eaten fresh, as salad ingredients, or dried in order to extract coconut milk.
Guava Fruits
Guava is very common in the Philippines. Eating guava provides nutrients and vitamins essential to one's body. This fruit might lower blood sugar levels. It may reduce the risks of developing cancer, helps better eyesight, anti-stress agent, and many more. So, growing this fruit at home must be our primary concern. This fruit must always be available in our backyard garden.
If you have none of these fruits above available in your home, it's time for you to love growing fruits because fruits do not only satisfy our hunger but it has several uses.
That's all for today's blog. I hope you learned something. Thank you and see you on my next blog.
The coconut is look delicious. My wife really love to drink the coconut water.
Wow! You are lucky to be surrounded by fruit trees, @dehai. I always wanted to have my own fruit and vegetable farm, but I don't even have land of my own. Btw, I've never heard of miracle fruits. Maybe there is another name for it. I might need to look up about it on Google.
[email protected] what people call it in our place. But that's right maybe there's a specific name for that fruits...
I've search it on google and this is what I found.
This is not the one, right?😁😁
Now,I'm trying to figure out what was it. Mind giving me a close up picture? If you have one.😉
Its look like this, but this is what we called here "Limau Gajah".
Yap ..Maybe that is lemonade?
It's like a big lime, but not lemonade. Some say it's good for health, but I don't really like it.
Yes, @mell79.Maybe miracle fruit is the common name. There are a lot of varieties.

Jackfruit and coconuts are my two favorites. We have some coconut and jackfruit trees growing at our place, but still too young to produce any fruits. We also have guavas, but they produce fruit even when very young, so we do get to enjoy a few guavas. Awesome post, thanks for joining the challenge.
Wow its nocento hear that @alfirdaus
Yap Thats true..The Coconut fruit we have...no need of climbing because they are short.
