Okra is one of our favorite vegetables, but here in Suriname all the okra sold in the markets is too old, the seeds are big and hard, and it is very stringy. I don't know why they don't pick them a little earlier and smaller because they are much more delicious like this.
here in our area my friend, okra is sold when it is young. the old okras, we dry it and the seeds then plant.
