Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. My granddaughter went to visit her grandfather in a Yunnan Chinese village (Thailand). For several days, my wife and I did not have any activities together with my granddaughter. Today my granddaughter is at home. So we wanted to do some activities together with her. Even though it was the rainy season, but it didn't rain for many days. And some areas in the home garden have grass and weeds. My wife and I plan to grow vegetables in this area after the rainy season. So it's a deserted area in our garden. But there is no rain now. We have changed our plans to grow vegetables in this area. Remove grass and weeds from this area first. We sent our autistic son to a school for special needs children. We go home immediately. And this time our granddaughter removed the grass and weeds together with us too. It took us almost two hours to remove grass and weeds. My wife uses a hoe, but my granddaughter and I use our hands to remove grass and weeds. And tomorrow I will prepare the soil in this area by loosen the soil it and adding vermicompost.
After removed the grass and weeds. It was almost noon. so my wife cooked lunch at home. My wife used vegetables I picked from the home garden yesterday as ingredients.
Today's lunch was simple and we were hungry. So it's som tam again. It's an easy dish and doesn't take long to make. Another dish is fried chicken skin.
In the afternoon we picked up our son from school. It was another day that we were busy with our autistic son and have take care of him closely in the afternoon. But today boy is better than every day.
Finally our dinner, my wife cooked a simple clear soup from ivy gourd and winter gac fruit leaves that I had harvested the yesterday and keep in the refrigerator.
Today is another day with the simple lifestyle of the family. Even though we were busy in the afternoon with our son, but today we were easy-going. Being living on a country side it's quite peaceful and more some plants to be eaten. Not only plants but some fresh fruit around you. I loved being on a country side. It's all in peace.
Its wonderful to see your granddaughter helping out and learning from you both. Even simple activities like removing grass can become special when shared with family.
It's great that you have a lovely wife who cooks well. Every time I see the dishes she makes, I get hungry.😁
