Hello everyone. This late month, Thailand will have the Loi Krathong Festival. This year the Loi Krathong Festival is held on 27 November. For the Loi Krathong festival in northern Thailand. They mostly decorate paper lanterns or cloth lanterns in homes, tourist attractions, and temples. The district where I live has many tourist attractions with Loi Krathong festivals. And now some places have started decorating paper lanterns or cloth lanterns in my district. All of these paper lanterns or cloth lanterns are Lanna style lanterns. Which is unique to the northern of the country.
Two days ago my wife was reading and looking at photos on local facebook of the district where we live. Wat Sri Bunrueang is decorating many Lanna style cloth lanterns during the Loy Krathong festival and people can make merit to buy cloth lanterns from the temple to hang cloth lanterns at the temple. Today me and my wife planned to go to Wat Sri Bunrueang to see the beautiful of the many Lanna style cloth lanterns and make merit to buy cloth lanterns to hang at the temple too. The many Lanna style cloth lanterns from this temple are made by local people.
We sent our son and granddaughter to school first and go to Wat Sri Bunrueang. Today the sky is clear. At first I intended to take photos of the atmosphere on the highway today. But I have to focus on driving. Therefore, I did not take photos of the atmosphere on the highway to share with everyone. Normally if I take pictures of atmosphere and views on highways or country roads. The wife will be the driver.
When we arrived at the temple. We see many Lanna style cloth lanterns from the moment we parked the car outside the temple. We were immediately enjoy when we saw these cloth lamps. Today, besides enjoying looking at these cloth lamps, we also enjoy taking pictures. Take a look, the some atmosphere decorated with Lanna style cloth lanterns in this temple.

A large color gold buddha statue. When driving past the temple, you will see this outstanding buddha statue from the road. And when walking inside the temple, this buddha statue becomes even more outstanding and beautiful.
The area around the goddess of mercy (Guan Yin) sculpture is decorated with red cloth lanterns.
The walkway leading to the buddha image hall (viharn) is decorated with multi colored lanterns.
Today we made merit and bought 3 cloth lanterns to hang at the temple. The pink cloth lamp is mine and two light blue cloth lamps belong to my wife and son.

In addition, The temple also has a small cafe. It's a simple cafe with cheap drinks. The area in front of this cafe is decorated with Lanna style cloth lanterns too.
Normally for breakfast, me and my wife dink coffee or milk and eat bread. But our breakfast today. We ate thai pork sausage with vegetables and drinks at this cafe.
Then we shopped at Lotus first. And after lunch, we went shopping at Makro. But I didn't take pictures of our shopping. But I took a picture of our lunch today.
Today my wife ate stir-fried kale and crispy pork with rice. And I ate stir-fried crispy pork with red curry and rice.

After we finished shopping at Makro. We picked up our children and granddaughter from school and go home. My wife is a driver, so I took pictures of the scenery on the highway and shared them with everyone. Let's go.
